국민 앞에 떳떳한가 – 강선우·이진숙 장관 임명, 철회가 답이다

7월 18일, 국회는 일부 장관 후보자에 대한 인사청문경과보고서를 여야 합의로 채택했다. 그러나 여전히 청문회를 통해 자질과 도덕성 논란이 해소되지 못한 후보자들이 남아 있다.

On July 18, the National Assembly adopted confirmation hearing reports for several ministerial nominees through bipartisan agreement. However, there remain candidates whose qualifications and ethics issues were not satisfactorily resolved during the hearings.

여성가족부 장관으로 지명된 강선우 후보자와, 교육부 장관 겸 사회부총리로 지명된 이진숙 후보자가 그들이다.

These include Kang Sun-woo, nominated for Minister of Gender Equality and Family, and Lee Jin-sook, nominated for Minister of Education and Deputy Prime Minister for Social Affairs.

이들의 임명 강행은 국민의 도덕적 상식과 정의감에 깊은 상처를 주며, 국정에 대한 신뢰마저 위협한다.

Pushing forward their appointments severely undermines the public’s moral expectations and sense of justice, and threatens trust in the administration.

강선우 – 약자를 위한 자리에 '갑질' 논란

Kang Sun-woo – Bullying the Weak While Aiming to Represent Them

여성가족부는 여성, 아동, 청소년, 장애인 등 사회적 약자를 보호하는 핵심 부처다.

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family exists to protect vulnerable groups such as women, children, youth, and people with disabilities.

그러나 강선우 후보자는 국회의원 재직 시절, 다수의 보좌진으로부터 폭언, 인격모독, 사적 지시 등의 ‘갑질’ 행위로 고발당했다.

However, during her term as a National Assembly member, Kang was accused by several aides of abusive language, personal insults, and misuse of authority.

청문회에서도 이 의혹에 대한 해명은 미흡했고, 오히려 법적 대응을 예고하며 논란을 더 키웠다.

Her explanations during the hearing were insufficient, and she escalated the controversy by threatening legal action against her former staffers.

남편의 스톡옵션 문제와 재산 형성 과정에서도 해명이 일관되지 않았고, 일부는 사실 왜곡이라는 지적도 나왔다.

Her explanations regarding her husband’s stock options and the couple’s asset accumulation were inconsistent, with some being labeled as factual distortions.

공감 능력, 도덕성, 공직자다운 태도를 갖추지 못한 강 후보자는 여성가족부 장관에 적합하지 않다.

Kang lacks empathy, moral integrity, and the bearing of a public servant—qualities essential for the Minister of Gender Equality and Family.

이진숙 – 교육 수장의 신뢰 무너뜨린 도덕성 논란

Lee Jin-sook – Ethical Failures Unfit for the Nation’s Education Leader

이진숙 후보자는 충남대 총장 재임 시절부터 불통 리더십 논란이 있었고, 자녀의 불법 조기유학으로 도덕성 논란의 중심에 섰다.

Lee Jin-sook faced accusations of authoritarian leadership during her presidency at Chungnam National University, and is now at the center of an ethics controversy over her child’s illegal early overseas education.

후보자의 자녀는 학령기를 무시하고 허위 주소지를 등록해 미국 유학을 다녀왔다.

Her child studied abroad in the U.S. by falsifying residency records, bypassing compulsory education laws in Korea.

법을 지키며 자녀 교육에 애쓰는 수많은 국민을 생각하면, 이는 명백한 특권 남용이다.

Given how many Korean families struggle to educate their children lawfully, this is a blatant abuse of privilege.

총장 재임 시절의 교수들과의 갈등, 일방 행정, 소통 부재 문제도 여전히 해결되지 않았다.

Lee’s past conflicts with faculty, unilateral decision-making, and lack of communication during her presidency remain unresolved issues.

교육부 장관은 단순한 정책 책임자가 아니라 교육 철학과 비전을 제시하는 자리다.

The Minister of Education is not just an administrator, but a visionary leader who must guide national educational philosophy.

이 후보자는 그 기준에 미달한다.

Lee Jin-sook does not meet that standard.

국정 신뢰의 문턱, 국민은 지켜보고 있다

The People Are Watching – Trust in Governance Is at Stake

장관 임명은 단순한 자리 나눠주기가 아니다. 그것은 국민과 정부 간 신뢰 계약이다.

Ministerial appointments are not mere political placements—they are contracts of trust between the government and its people.

강선우·이진숙 후보자의 임명은 그 신뢰를 저버리는 행위다.

Appointing Kang and Lee would betray that trust.

강 후보자는 ‘내로남불’의 전형, 이 후보자는 ‘특권층의 민낯’을 상징한다는 말이 나온다.

Some call Kang the embodiment of “double standards,” and Lee a symbol of “elite privilege.”

능력의 문제가 아니라, 공감과 책임, 법을 존중하는 자세가 없는 이들은 공직에 설 자격이 없다.

The issue is not capability—it is that those who lack empathy, accountability, and respect for the law are unfit for public office.

이재명 정부가 국정의 신뢰를 이어가고자 한다면, 두 사람의 임명은 지금이라도 철회돼야 한다.

If the Lee Jae-myung administration wishes to preserve public trust, these appointments must be withdrawn immediately.
