“We Will Reshape Gangwon Education”

강원특별자치도교육감 선거에 출마한 최광익 후보가 강원특별자치도선거관리위원회에 후보 등록을 마치고 본격적인 선거운동에 돌입했다.

Candidate Choi Kwang-ik, running for Superintendent of Education of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, officially completed candidate registration with the Gangwon State Election Commission and launched his full-scale election campaign.

최 후보는 등록 직후 “강원교육의 변화를 현장에서 시작하겠다”며 “학생이 행복하고 교사가 보람을 느끼며 학부모가 신뢰하는 교육환경을 만들겠다”고 밝혔다.

Immediately after registration, Choi stated, “We will begin transforming Gangwon education from the field,” adding, “I will create an educational environment where students are happy, teachers feel rewarded, and parents can trust the system.”

그는 이어 “이번 선거는 이념과 진영의 대결이 아닌 교육의 미래를 위한 선택이 되어야 한다”며 “교육 본질 회복과 지역 맞춤형 교육 혁신에 집중하겠다”고 강조했다.

He further emphasized, “This election should not be an ideological confrontation but a choice for the future of education,” stressing his focus on restoring the essence of education and pursuing region-tailored educational innovation.

최 후보는 최근 거리 인사와 지역 상권 방문, 시민 간담회 등을 이어가며 도민들과의 현장 소통 행보를 강화하고 있다. 특히 시장과 도심 거리에서 시민들을 직접 만나 교육 현안과 지역 의견을 청취하며 친근한 현장형 후보 이미지를 구축하고 있다.

Recently, Choi has been strengthening direct communication with residents through street greetings, local business visits, and citizen meetings. In particular, he has been meeting citizens face-to-face in markets and urban streets, listening to educational issues and regional concerns while building an approachable, field-oriented image.

또한 언론 인터뷰와 정책 홍보를 통해 학력 신장, 교권 회복, 미래인재 양성, 농산어촌 교육격차 해소 등을 핵심 공약으로 제시하며 정책 중심 선거를 강조하고 있다.

Through media interviews and policy campaigns, Choi has highlighted key pledges including academic achievement improvement, restoration of teachers’ authority, nurturing future talent, and narrowing educational gaps in rural and fishing communities, emphasizing a policy-driven election campaign.

한편 강원도교육감 선거는 후보 등록 이후 본격적인 선거 국면에 접어들면서 각 후보 간 정책 경쟁과 교육 비전 제시가 더욱 치열해질 전망이다.

Meanwhile, with candidate registration completed, the Gangwon Superintendent of Education election is entering a full-fledged campaign phase, and competition among candidates over policies and educational visions is expected to intensify further.
