“Warm Hearts Shared Between Generations Through Children’s Day and Parents’ Day”

홍천남산유치원(원장 임미정)과 긴밭들마을(이장 김관수)이 5월 가정의 달을 맞아 어린이날과 어버이날의 의미를 담은 따뜻한 교류 활동을 펼치며 세대 간 사랑과 정을 나누는 특별한 시간을 가졌다.

In celebration of Family Month in May, 홍천남산유치원 Principal Lim Mi-jung and the residents of Gingbatdeul Village, led by Village Head Kim Gwan-soo, shared meaningful exchanges filled with love and gratitude, creating a heartwarming bond between generations.

지난 5월 4일, 마을 어르신들은 어린이날을 축하하는 마음을 담아 유치원 아이들에게 정성 가득한 떡을 선물했다. 이에 화답하듯 6일, 홍천남산유치원 원아들은 경로당을 찾아 직접 만든 카네이션 화분을 전달하며 어버이날 감사의 마음을 전했다.

On May 4, village elders gifted delicious traditional rice cakes to the kindergarten children in celebration of Children’s Day. In return, on May 6, the children visited the village senior center and presented handmade carnation flowerpots to express their gratitude for Parents’ Day.

이날 아이들은 어르신들과 함께 ‘고향의 봄’을 부르며 정성껏 준비한 노래와 율동 공연을 선보였다. 아이들의 해맑은 목소리와 귀여운 율동에 어르신들은 연신 미소를 지으며 큰 박수로 화답했고, 마을에는 따뜻한 웃음이 가득 퍼졌다.

During the visit, the children sang the beloved Korean song Spring in My Hometown together with the elders and performed cheerful songs and dances they had prepared with care. The seniors responded with warm smiles and heartfelt applause, filling the village with joy and laughter.

특히 공연 후 이어진 ‘효도 안마 시간’은 현장을 더욱 훈훈하게 만들었다. 아이들의 작은 손길이 어르신들의 어깨와 등을 토닥일 때마다 곳곳에서 웃음과 칭찬이 이어졌고, 어르신들은 마치 손주를 바라보듯 아이들을 따뜻하게 품어주었다.

The “massage time for grandparents” that followed the performance brought even more warmth to the gathering. As the children gently massaged the elders’ shoulders and backs with their tiny hands, laughter and compliments filled the room. The elders looked upon the children with affection, as if welcoming their own grandchildren.

#임미정 원장은 “어린이날 떡 선물과 어버이날 카네이션 화분을 서로 주고받으며 이어진 이번 만남은 아이들에게 살아있는 효 교육의 시간이 되었다”며 “세대 간 따뜻한 정을 나누며 가정의 달 의미를 함께 되새길 수 있어 더욱 뜻깊었다”고 말했다.

Principal Lim Mi-jung said, “This exchange of rice cakes for Children’s Day and carnation flowerpots for Parents’ Day became a meaningful lesson in filial piety for the children. It was a precious opportunity for different generations to share warmth and reflect together on the true meaning of Family Month.”
