강원특별자치도교육청, 학교관리자 및 고위직 대상 성희롱·성폭력 예방 별도 교육 실시

Gangwon State Office of Education Conducts Specialized Sexual Harassment and Violence Prevention Training for School Administrators and Senior Officials

강원특별자치도교육청은 학교관리자 및 고위직을 대상으로 성희롱·성폭력 예방 별도 교육을 5월 권역별로 운영한다고 밝혔다.

The Gangwon State Office of Education announced that it will conduct specialized sexual harassment and sexual violence prevention training sessions for school administrators and senior officials by region throughout May.

이번 교육은 학교 현장의 건전한 조직문화를 조성하고, 성희롱·성폭력 예방에 대한 학교관리자와 고위직의 책무성을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다. 교육은 영서권과 영동권으로 나누어 진행되며, 영서권 교육은 5월 7일부터 8일까지 강원특별자치도교육청교육과학정보원에서, 영동권 교육은 5월 12일과 14일 강원특별자치도교육청국제교육원에서 각각 실시된다.

The program was designed to foster a healthy organizational culture within schools and strengthen the accountability of school administrators and senior officials in preventing sexual harassment and violence. The training will be divided into Yeongseo and Yeongdong regional sessions. The Yeongseo session will take place from May 7 to 8 at the Gangwon State Office of Education Institute of Education Science and Information, while the Yeongdong session will be held on May 12 and 14 at the Gangwon State Office of Education International Education Institute.

이번 교육의 강의는 가톨릭대학교 대학원 초빙교수이자 한국범죄학연구소 대표인 염건령 교수가 맡는다. 염 교수는 관련 분야의 전문성을 바탕으로 성희롱·성폭력 예방의 중요성과 학교 조직 내 관리자의 책무, 실제 사례 중심의 예방 및 대응 방안 등을 심도 있게 다룰 예정이다.

The lectures will be delivered by Professor Yeom Geon-ryeong, a visiting professor at the Graduate School of Catholic University and head of the Korea Criminology Research Institute. Drawing on his expertise in the field, Professor Yeom will provide in-depth discussions on the importance of preventing sexual harassment and violence, the responsibilities of administrators within school organizations, and practical prevention and response measures based on real cases.

강원특별자치도교육청은 이번 별도 교육을 통해 학교관리자와 고위직의 성인지 감수성과 예방 의식을 높이고, 교육현장에서 발생할 수 있는 성희롱·성폭력 사안에 보다 엄정하고 책임감 있게 대응할 수 있는 기반을 마련할 것으로 기대하고 있다.

Through this specialized training, the Gangwon State Office of Education expects to enhance gender sensitivity and prevention awareness among school administrators and senior officials, while also establishing a stronger foundation for strict and responsible responses to sexual harassment and violence cases that may arise in educational settings.

#송수경 인성생활교육과장은 “학교 현장에서 관리자의 역할은 무엇보다 중요하다”라며 “이번 교육이 성희롱·성폭력 예방에 대한 책임의식을 높이고, 모두가 존중받는 안전한 학교문화를 만드는 데 실질적인 도움이 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.

Song Soo-gyeong, Director of the Character and Student Life Education Division, stated, “The role of administrators in schools is extremely important,” adding, “We hope this training will strengthen awareness of responsibility regarding the prevention of sexual harassment and violence and provide practical support in creating a safe school culture where everyone is respected.”
