“도서관이 ‘카페+놀이터’로 변신”… 강원교육청, 60억 투입 ‘학교 혁명’ 시작

강원특별자치도교육청은 27일(금) 원주교육문화관 1층 대강당에서 ‘2026 학교도서관 감성디자인 프로젝트’ 선정학교 관계자를 대상으로 ‘학교도서관 공간 구성 연수’를 운영하고 성황리에 마무리했다.

The Gangwon State Office of Education held the “School Library Space Design Training” on Friday, the 27th, at the main auditorium on the first floor of the Wonju Education & Culture Center, targeting selected schools for the “2026 School Library Emotional Design Project,” and successfully concluded the event.

이번 연수는 학교도서관 감성디자인 프로젝트 추진에 필요한 공간 구성 기획, 행정, 사례 공유를 통해 사업 방향성을 제시하고, 현장의 이해도를 높여 효율적인 사업 추진을 지원하기 위해 마련됐다.

 The training was designed to provide direction for the project by sharing planning strategies, administrative processes, and case studies related to school library space design, while also enhancing on-site understanding to support efficient project implementation.

 이번 연수에서는 최만호 전 건국대학교 문헌정보학과 겸임교수가 학교도서관 공간 기획을 강의했으며, 속초여고 김태헌 행정실장이 설계 추진 및 공사 등의 행정 실무를 상세히 안내했다.

 During the training, former Konkuk University adjunct professor Choi Man-ho delivered a lecture on school library space planning, while Kim Tae-heon, administrative office manager of Sokcho Girls’ High School, provided detailed guidance on administrative practices including design implementation and construction processes.

이어 동해 청운초 이신애 사서교사와 춘천고 은지숙 사서교사가 사업 추진 과정에서의 경험을 생생하게 공유하며 참가자들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.

In addition, librarian teachers Lee Shin-ae from Donghae Cheongun Elementary School and Eun Ji-suk from Chuncheon High School shared vivid experiences from the project implementation process, receiving strong responses from participants.

◦ 연수 후에는 전년도 참여학교인 북원초, 단구중, 북원여고를 방문하여, 참가자들이 실제 공간 구현 사례를 직접 경험하는 시간도 가졌다.

◦ After the training, participants visited previously participating schools—Bukwon Elementary School, Dangu Middle School, and Bukwon Girls’ High School—to directly experience real-world examples of implemented library spaces.

2019년부터 시작한 ‘학교도서관 감성디자인 프로젝트’는 지금까지 도내 353교가 참여하였다. 노후된 학교도서관을 독서·수업·놀이·휴식이 공존하는 복합 문화공간으로 탈바꿈시키며 강원 학교도서관의 공간 혁신을 견인해 왔다.

Since its launch in 2019, the “School Library Emotional Design Project” has involved 353 schools across the province. It has led innovation in school libraries by transforming outdated facilities into multifunctional cultural spaces where reading, learning, play, and relaxation coexist.

올해는 총사업비 60억 원 규모로 40교를 선정하였으며, 학생들이 책과 함께 머물고 싶은 공간으로 학교도서관을 재구조화할 계획이다.

This year, 40 schools were selected with a total project budget of 6 billion KRW, aiming to restructure school libraries into spaces where students want to stay and engage with books.

#이인범 문화체육특수교육과장은 “이번 연수를 통해 선정학교들이 사업 추진에 대한 구체적인 방향과 자신감을 가졌길 기대한다”며, “향후 이어질 공간 구성 전문가 컨설팅을 통해 각 학교가 완성도 높은 도서관 공간을 만들어 갈 수 있도록 마무리까지 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

#Lee In-beom, Director of the Culture, Physical Education, and Special Education Division, stated, “We hope this training provides selected schools with clear direction and confidence in implementing the project,” adding, “We will continue to provide active support through expert consulting to ensure each school successfully completes a high-quality library space.”
