강원교육청, 새 학기 등하굣길 안전 캠페인… 교통안전·유괴 예방 민관경 합동

강원특별자치도교육청은 3월 11일 오전 8시 20분, 춘천 봉의초등학교 일원에서 학생들의 안전한 통학환경 조성을 위해 교통안전과 유괴 예방을 위한 등하굣길 안전 캠페인을 실시했다.

The Gangwon State Office of Education held a school commute safety campaign on March 11 at 8:20 a.m. near Bongui Elementary School in Chuncheon to promote traffic safety and prevent child abduction, aiming to ensure a safer commuting environment for students.

이번 캠페인은 새 학기를 맞아 학생들의 교통안전 의식을 높이고 유괴 등 아동 대상 범죄에 대한 지역사회의 경각심을 높이기 위해 마련됐다. 특히 강원특별자치도가 추진하는 ‘따뜻한 등하굣길 가이드 캠페인’과 연계해 민·관·경이 함께 참여했다는 점에서 의미가 크다.

The campaign was organized to raise students’ awareness of traffic safety at the start of the new semester and to increase community vigilance against crimes targeting children, including abduction. It is particularly meaningful as it was carried out in connection with Gangwon State’s “Warm School Commute Guide Campaign,” involving cooperation among public institutions, local government, and police.

이날 행사에는 도교육청과 춘천교육지원청을 비롯해 강원특별자치도, 강원경찰청 등 유관기관 관계자들이 참여했다. 이들은 학교 정문과 주요 통학로에서 등교하는 학생들에게 안전한 보행 방법과 유괴 예방을 위한 생활 속 안전수칙을 안내하며 교통안전과 생활안전 의식을 높이기 위한 활동을 펼쳤다.

Participants in the event included officials from the Gangwon State Office of Education, Chuncheon Office of Education, Gangwon State Government, and the Gangwon Provincial Police Agency. They conducted activities at the school gate and key commuting routes, guiding students on safe walking practices and everyday safety tips to prevent abduction, thereby strengthening awareness of traffic and personal safety.

특히 학생들이 일상에서 쉽게 기억하고 실천할 수 있도록 ‘등하굣길 안전 3가지 약속(△안전한 길로 다니기 △보호자 허락 없이 따라가지 않기 △큰 소리로 도움 요청하기)’을 안내하며 안전한 통학 문화 확산에 힘썼다.

In particular, the campaign introduced the “Three Safety Promises for School Commutes” so that students can easily remember and practice them in daily life: △use safe routes △never follow strangers without a guardian’s permission △ask for help loudly when in danger. The initiative aimed to expand a culture of safe commuting.

#김명복 안전복지과장은 “학생들의 등하굣길 안전은 교통사고 예방뿐 아니라 범죄로부터의 보호까지 함께 이루어져야 한다”며 “학교 주변 통학로 안전 점검과 교통안전 및 범죄 예방 교육을 지속적으로 추진해 학생 중심의 안전한 교육환경 조성에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

Kim Myeong-bok, Director of the Safety and Welfare Division, said, “Ensuring students’ safety on their way to and from school must include not only preventing traffic accidents but also protecting them from crime. We will continue safety inspections around school routes and expand traffic safety and crime prevention education to create a safer, student-centered educational environment.”
