“평생 교단을 지킨 118명의 이름”… 강원특별자치도교육청 퇴직 교원 정부훈장 전수

강원특별자치도교육청은 2026년 2월 26일(목) 오전 10시, 청사 6층 대강당에서 ‘2026년 2월말 퇴직 교원 훈·포장 전수식’을 개최했다.

The Gangwon State Office of Education held the “Investiture Ceremony for Retired Teachers Receiving National Honors (February 2026)” at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in the main auditorium on the 6th floor of its headquarters.

이번 전수식은 재직 기간 동안 국가와 강원교육 발전에 기여한 교원들의 공로를 기리고 감사의 뜻을 전하기 위해 마련됐다. 이날 행사에는 정부포상 수상자와 가족 등 100여 명이 참석한 가운데 엄숙하고 따뜻한 분위기 속에서 진행됐다.

The ceremony was organized to honor and express gratitude for the dedicated service of teachers who contributed to the nation and the advancement of education in Gangwon during their careers. Approximately 100 award recipients and their family members attended the event, which was held in a solemn yet warm atmosphere.

포상 대상자는 2026년 2월 말 정년퇴직 교원과 2025년 8월 말 명예퇴직 교원 등 총 118명이다. 훈격별로는 △황조근정훈장 33명 △홍조근정훈장 19명 △녹조근정훈장 27명 △옥조근정훈장 16명 △근정포장 18명 △대통령표창 1명 △국무총리표창 3명 △부총리 겸 교육부장관 표창 1명이다.

A total of 118 teachers were honored, including those who reached mandatory retirement at the end of February 2026 and those who took honorary retirement at the end of August 2025. By decoration grade, the recipients included 33 awarded the Order of Service Merit (Hwangjo), 19 the Order of Service Merit (Hongjo), 27 the Order of Service Merit (Nokjo), 16 the Order of Service Merit (Okjo), 18 the Service Merit Medal, 1 the Presidential Commendation, 3 the Prime Minister’s Commendation, and 1 the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education’s Commendation.

강원특별자치도교육청 관계자는 “평생을 교육 현장에서 헌신해 온 선생님들의 노고에 깊이 감사드린다”며 “퇴직 이후에도 강원교육의 든든한 동반자로 함께해 주시길 바란다”고 밝혔다.

An official from the Gangwon State Office of Education stated, “We extend our deepest gratitude to the teachers who devoted their lives to the field of education,” adding, “We hope they will continue to stand as steadfast partners of Gangwon education even after retirement.”
