강릉시, 제18회 ‘세계를 다(多)담다’ 페스티벌 개최

다양한 가족과 시민이 함께하는 화합의 장 —

A festival of harmony where diverse families and citizens come together —

강릉시가 주최하고 강릉시가족센터가 주관하는 「제18회 세계를 다(多)담다 페스티벌」이

오는 11월 1일(토) 오후 1시, 강릉시가족센터와 성덕공원 일원에서 열린다.

Hosted by Gangneung City and organized by the Gangneung Family Center,

the 18th “Embracing the World Festival” will take place

on Saturday, November 1 at 1 p.m. around the Family Center and Seongdeok Park.

이번 행사는 강릉시가 교육발전특구사업의 일환으로 추진하는

다문화 아동 교육지원 및 인식개선 활동의 일부분이다.

It is part of Gangneung’s Special Education Development District Project,

focusing on supporting multicultural children’s education and promoting social awareness.

「세계를 다(多)담다 페스티벌」은 매년 강릉시민과 외국인 주민,

그리고 다문화가족이 함께 어울리며 서로의 문화를 이해하고 존중하는

다양성과 화합의 장으로 자리 잡아왔다.

Over the years, the festival has become a celebration of diversity and harmony,

bringing together citizens, foreign residents, and multicultural families

to share and appreciate each other’s cultures.

올해는 특히 강릉시 시승격 70주년을 기념하는 의미를 더해

더욱 뜻깊은 행사가 될 예정이다.

This year’s event holds special meaning,

as it also celebrates the 70th anniversary of Gangneung’s cityhood.

행사 당일에는 청소년 사물놀이, 댄스, 마술 공연 등

다채로운 무대가 펼쳐져 관람객들에게 즐거움을 선사한다.

The festival will feature youth samulnori (Korean percussion), dance, and magic performances,

promising lively entertainment for all visitors.

또한 카자흐스탄, 러시아, 중국, 필리핀 등

여러 나라의 다문화 간식 시식 체험과

우리나라 전통놀이, 다문화 전통 놀이 체험,

그리고 스포츠 에어바운스 등

가족 단위로 즐길 수 있는 다양한 프로그램도 마련된다.

Visitors can also enjoy multicultural snack tastings from Kazakhstan, Russia, China, and the Philippines,

as well as Korean traditional games, multicultural folk games, and sports air bounce zones —

perfect for families to enjoy together.

모든 체험은 무료 참여가 가능하며, 현장 접수로 운영된다.

All activities are free of charge and available through on-site registration.

Hong Soo-yeon, head of the Population and Family Division, said,

“We hope this festival will be a meaningful opportunity

for all families and citizens of Gangneung to understand and respect one another’s cultures.

We will continue to promote awareness and social inclusion for all kinds of families.”
