Policy Forum Held to Establish Settlement Foundations for Military Families

강원특별자치도는 도 지역소멸대응정책관과 도 여성가족연구원(원장 김숙영)이 공동 주관하여 9월 26일(금) 통일플러스센터에서 「군인가족 정착 기반 마련을 위한 정책포럼」을 개최했다.
Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, in collaboration with the Provincial Office for Regional Extinction Countermeasures and the Gangwon Institute for Gender and Family (headed by Kim Sook-young), hosted the “Policy Forum for Establishing Settlement Foundations for Military Families” on Friday, September 26, at the Unification Plus Center.

이날 포럼은 군인가족의 날을 맞아 그간의 헌신을 기리고 자긍심을 고취하며, 삶의 질 향상과 지역사회 정착 기반 마련을 위한 정책적 대안을 논의하기 위해 마련됐다.
The forum was organized in commemoration of Military Family Day, to honor the dedication of military families, foster pride, and explore policy alternatives to improve their quality of life and support their settlement within local communities.

포럼은 ▲한기호 국회 국방위원회 위원장의 군인가족 표창장 수여식으로 시작되었다.
The event began with a commendation ceremony for military families, presented by Han Ki-ho, Chairman of the National Assembly’s National Defense Committee.

기조강연은 ▲김왕규 강원특별자치도의회 의원이 강원특별자치도 군인 가족의 현실과 과제, 시행방안에 대해 발표하였으며,
The keynote lecture was delivered by Kim Wang-gyu, a member of the Gangwon Provincial Assembly, who addressed the realities, challenges, and implementation strategies concerning military families in Gangwon Province.

주제 발표로 ▲정미경 강원대학교 사회복지학과 교수가 ‘군 간부와 지역 주민 간 군 가족복지 지원인식의 상호 지향성’을 발표하였다.
In the thematic presentation, Professor Jung Mi-kyung of Kangwon National University’s Department of Social Welfare presented on “The Reciprocal Orientation of Military Family Welfare Support Perceptions Between Military Officers and Local Residents.”

이어진 토론에서는 여성가족연구원 김숙영 원장이 좌장을 맡아 ▲허목화 강원특별자치도여성가족연구원 연구위원 ▲조명호 강원특별자치도 균형발전지원센터 센터장 ▲신현지 강원군인가족협회 회장 ▲반빈 육군본부 인사참모부 군인가족지원정책장교 중령 ▲김필수 강원특별자치도 관광수산특별보좌관이 참여했다.
The subsequent panel discussion was moderated by Kim Sook-young, President of the Gangwon Institute for Gender and Family, with participation from Heo Mok-hwa (Research Fellow, Gangwon Institute for Gender and Family), Jo Myung-ho (Director, Gangwon Balanced Development Support Center), Shin Hyun-ji (President, Gangwon Military Families Association), Lieutenant Colonel Ban Bin (Military Family Support Policy Officer, Army Headquarters Personnel Command), and Kim Pil-soo (Special Advisor on Tourism and Fisheries, Gangwon Province).

#김숙영 원장은 “이번 포럼이후에도 군인 가족을 대상으로 실태조사 등 수행을 위한 연구 과제로 선정하여 도정에 반영될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
President Kim Sook-young stated, “Following this forum, we will select research projects such as fact-finding surveys on military families and make every effort to reflect the results in provincial policies.”
