동해문화관광재단, 외국인 유학생 초청 ‘동해시 매력 알리기’ 팸투어 개최

- 18~19일 일본·베트남·중앙아시아 등 4개국 유학생 20명 대상 1박 2일 일정 진행

(재)동해문화관광재단은 9월 18일부터 19일까지 1박 2일간 국내 대학 한국어학당에 재학 중인 외국인 유학생 20명을 초청해 동해시 팸투어를 진행했다.

The Donghae Culture and Tourism Foundation hosted a two-day familiarization tour of Donghae from September 18 to 19 for 20 international students enrolled in Korean language programs at universities in Korea.

이번 팸투어는 국내에 거주하는 외국인 유학생을 통해 관광도시 동해의 인지도를 높이고, 글로벌 관광객을 맞이하기 위한 관광 수용 태세를 점검해 향후 개선을 위한 기초자료를 확보하고자 마련됐다.

The tour was designed to raise Donghae’s profile as a tourist destination through international students living in Korea. It also aimed to assess the city’s readiness to welcome overseas visitors and gather feedback for future improvements.

참가자들은 일본과 베트남, 중앙아시아 등 4개국 출신 유학생들로 구성됐다. 이들은 최근 동해시의 인기 관광지로 주목받고 있는 어달항과 도째비골 스카이밸리, 논골담길을 비롯해 추암, 북평민속5일장, 무릉권역 등을 두루 둘러봤다.

The participants came from four countries, including Japan, Vietnam, and Central Asian nations. They visited a range of attractions, including Eodal Port, Dojjaebigol Sky Valley, Nongoldam-gil Mural Village, Chuam, Bukpyeong Traditional Five-Day Market, and the Mureung area.

특히 동해시의 대표 축제인 ‘동해무릉제’ 행사장을 찾아 다양한 공연과 체험 프로그램을 직접 즐겼다. 또한 외국인의 시각에서 축제 콘텐츠와 관광안내, 편의시설 등을 살펴보고 개선 의견을 제시했다.

They also visited the Donghae Mureung Festival, one of the city’s flagship events, where they enjoyed various performances and hands-on activities. From an international visitor’s perspective, they reviewed the festival programs, tourist information, and visitor facilities and offered suggestions for improvement.

재단은 이번 팸투어에 참여한 유학생들이 각자의 언어와 SNS 채널을 활용해 동해시의 관광자원과 축제를 생생하게 소개함으로써 해외 홍보 효과를 높일 것으로 기대하고 있다.

The foundation expects the students to share their experiences of Donghae’s attractions and festivals through their own languages and social media channels, helping the city reach a wider international audience.
