관광을 넘어 ‘머무는 묵호’로…예술과 지역을 잇는 체류형 프로그램

A residency program connecting art with the community and transforming Mukho into a place to experience through an extended stay

동해시가 묵호에서 한 달간 생활하며 창작활동을 펼칠 예술인 2명을 모집한다.

Donghae City is recruiting two artists to live in Mukho for one month while pursuing their creative work.

‘묵호감성마을 동해愛 한 달 살기’는 예술인이 묵호감성마을에 머물며 지역의 풍경과 문화를 경험하고, 이를 창작활동으로 연결하는 예술인 체류형 관광 프로그램이다.

“One Month in Mukho Emotional Village” is an artist residency and extended-stay tourism program. It allows artists to experience the scenery and culture of Mukho Emotional Village and transform their experiences into creative works.

선정된 예술인은 10월부터 12월 중 원하는 기간 한 달을 선택해 아파트형 숙소에 머물며 창작활동을 진행한다. 체류기간에는 재능기부 프로그램 운영과 SNS 등을 활용한 지역 홍보에도 참여한다.

Selected artists may choose a one-month period between October and December. They will stay in apartment-style accommodation and focus on their creative activities. During their residency, they will also organize talent-sharing programs and promote the area through social media and other channels.

모집기간은 9월 3일부터 16일까지이며, 예술인패스 소지자 또는 관련 활동실적·경력 등을 통해 예술활동이 확인되는 사람이 신청할 수 있다. 자세한 사항은 동해시청 홈페이지 공고문에서 확인하면 된다.

Applications will be accepted from September 3 through 16. Eligible applicants include holders of an Artist Pass or individuals whose artistic activities can be verified through relevant achievements or professional experience. Further details are available in the official notice posted on the Donghae City website.

#김선옥 문화예술과장은 “묵호의 골목과 바다, 사람들의 이야기가 예술인의 시선을 만나 새로운 콘텐츠로 이어지길 기대한다”며 “예술인은 묵호에서 영감을 얻고, 지역은 예술을 통해 새로운 매력을 더하는 기회가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

“We hope Mukho’s alleyways, sea, and the stories of its people will be reimagined through the eyes of artists and developed into inspiring new content,” said Kim Seon-ok, Director of the Culture and Arts Division. “We hope artists will find inspiration in Mukho, while the community discovers new charm and vitality through art.”
