The Gangwon Art & Culture Foundation, led by CEO Shin Hyun-sang, will present the Daegwallyeong Music Festival special concert “Four Seasons of Gangwon: Autumn” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, at the Sokcho Culture and Arts Center.

The third installment of this year’s “Four Seasons of Gangwon” series will feature internationally acclaimed cellist and Artistic Director of the PyeongChang Daegwallyeong Music Festival Sung-Won Yang, pianist Enrico Pace, violinist Jiyoon Lee—who served as concertmaster of this year’s PyeongChang Festival Orchestra—and violist Sumin Lee. The four musicians will bring their distinctive tones and musical voices together to present an intimate and richly expressive chamber music performance.

The program will feature Bartók’s “Romanian Folk Dances for Cello and Piano, Sz. 56,” Kodály’s “Duo for Violin and Cello, Op. 7,” and Brahms’s “Piano Quartet No. 1 in G Minor, Op. 25.” Through a refined and deeply expressive ensemble, the musicians will explore works where vivid folk elements intersect with profound Romantic lyricism.
