동해시, 상반기 조기 소진 ‘단체관광 인센티브’ 9월 재개

지난해 9,120만 원 지원해 단체관광객 9,883명 유치

동해시가 상반기 예산 조기 소진으로 종료했던 ‘단체관광객 유치 인센티브 지원사업’을 9월 1일부터 재개하고 가을 관광 성수기 단체관광객 유치에 나선다.

Donghae City will resume its “Group Tourist Attraction Incentive Program” on September 1. The program was temporarily suspended after its first-half budget was exhausted earlier than expected. Through its resumption, the city aims to attract more group tourists during the peak fall travel season.

2025년도에는 9,120만 원을 지원해 단체관광객 9,883명을 유치했으며, 올해 상반기에는 5,000만 원을 투입해 5,067명을 유치했다. 특히 상반기 예산이 4월 말 조기 소진되면서 사업을 일시 종료했다.

 In 2025, the city provided KRW 91.2 million in incentives and attracted 9,883 group tourists. During the first half of this year, it invested KRW 50 million and attracted 5,067 visitors. Strong demand led to the program’s budget being exhausted by the end of April, resulting in its temporary suspension.

이 같은 단체관광 수요를 가을 관광 성수기까지 이어가기 위해 9월부터 사업을 재개한다. 지원 대상은 버스 1대당 20명 이상 단체관광객으로, 일정 기준을 충족하면 당일 관광은 버스 1대당 20만 원, 숙박 관광은 40만 원을 지원하며 예산 소진 시까지 운영한다.

 To maintain this strong demand through the peak fall tourism season, the city will resume the program in September. Groups of at least 20 tourists traveling on a single bus will be eligible for support. Those meeting the program’s requirements will receive KRW 200,000 per bus for a day trip or KRW 400,000 per bus for an overnight tour. The program will continue until the allocated budget is exhausted.

특히 묵호권 감성관광지와 무릉별유천지, 추암권역 등 주요 관광자원을 연계한 관광상품 운영을 유도하고, 단순 방문에 그치지 않고 음식·숙박·관광시설 이용 등 지역 내 체류와 소비로 이어지는 관광객 유치에 중점을 둘 계획이다.

 In particular, the city will encourage tour packages connecting major attractions, including Mukho’s scenic and cultural destinations, Mureung Byeolyucheonji and the Chuam area. The initiative will focus on attracting tourists who not only visit but also stay longer and contribute to the local economy through dining, accommodation and the use of tourism facilities.

#이진화 관광과장은 “지난해에 이어 올해 상반기에도 5천여 명의 단체관광객을 유치하며 꾸준한 수요를 확인했다”며 “가을철 관광객 유치를 확대해 지역 상권에 실질적인 도움이 되도록 하겠다”고 말했다.

 “Following last year’s strong performance, we attracted more than 5,000 group tourists in the first half of this year, confirming sustained demand,” said Lee Jin-hwa, Director of the Tourism Division. “We will expand our efforts to attract visitors during the fall season so that the program delivers tangible benefits to local businesses.”
