강원특별자치도, 청년정책조정위원회 새롭게 구성

Gangwon State Establishes New Youth Policy Coordination Committee
청년과 학계·전문가 등 위촉직 위원 참여…청년의 목소리 정책에 반영
Appointed youth representatives, academics, and experts to help incorporate young people’s voices into policymaking

강원특별자치도(도지사 우상호, 이하 ‘도’)는 청년의 정책 참여를 확대하고 다양한 의견을 도정에 반영하기 위해 8월 31일 오후 2시 도청 신관 소회의실에서 ‘청년정책조정위원회 위촉식’을 개최했다.

Gangwon State, led by Governor Woo Sang-ho, held an appointment ceremony for its Youth Policy Coordination Committee at 2 p.m. on August 31 in a conference room at the provincial government’s new building. The committee was formed to expand young people’s participation in policymaking and incorporate their diverse opinions into provincial administration.

청년정책조정위원회는 강원특별자치도의 주요 청년정책을 심의하는 기구다. 경제부지사를 비롯한 당연직 위원 5명과 도의원·전문가·청년 등 위촉직 위원 14명을 포함해 총 19명으로 구성된다.

The Youth Policy Coordination Committee is responsible for reviewing major youth policies in Gangwon State. It consists of 19 members: five ex officio members, including the Vice Governor for Economic Affairs, and 14 appointed members comprising provincial council members, experts, and youth representatives.

위원들은 앞으로 2년간 도의 청년정책 기본계획과 시행계획을 심의하고, 청년정책 시행을 위한 coordination과 cooperation 등의 역할을 맡는다.

The committee members will serve two-year terms. Their duties include reviewing the province’s basic and implementation plans for youth policy and promoting coordination and cooperation in carrying out related initiatives.

이번 위촉식에는 경제부지사를 비롯한 당연직 위원 4명과 도의원, 학계·전문가, 청년 위원 등 위촉직 위원 10명을 포함해 총 14명이 참석했다.

A total of 14 people attended the ceremony, including the Vice Governor for Economic Affairs and three other ex officio members, as well as 10 appointed members representing the provincial council, academia, professional fields, and young people.

#신원철 강원특별자치도 경제부지사는 “청년정책의 핵심은 당사자인 청년들의 생생한 목소리를 도정에 담아내는 것”이라며 “청년정책조정위원회가 지역 청년과 도정을 잇는 튼튼한 교량 역할을 해주길 기대한다. 청년이 체감할 수 있는 실효성 있는 정책을 만들어 가는 데 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.

We hope the Youth Policy Coordination Committee will serve as a strong bridge between local youth and the provincial government. We will provide full support in developing effective policies that young people can genuinely feel and benefit from.”

한편 강원특별자치도는 앞으로도 청년들과 지속적으로 소통하며, 청년이 살기 좋은 강원을 만들기 위한 정책을 적극 추진해 나갈 계획이다.

Gangwon State plans to maintain close communication with young people and actively pursue policies that make the province a better place for them to live.
