한국철도 강원본부, 2026년 을지연습 실시

한국철도공사 강원본부(본부장 김태락)는 국가 비상대비태세 확립과 철도시설 위기대응 역량 강화를 위해 8월 18일부터 21일까지 ‘2026년 을지연습’을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

KORAIL’s Gangwon Regional Headquarters, headed by General Manager Kim Tae-rak, announced that it will conduct the 2026 Ulchi Exercise from August 18 to 21 to strengthen national emergency preparedness and enhance crisis response capabilities for railway facilities.

이번 을지연습은 국가 비상사태 발생 시 신속하고 체계적인 대응체계를 확립하고, 철도의 안정적인 운영과 주요 철도시설 보호를 위한 대응 역량을 점검하는 데 중점을 두고 시행된다.

This year’s Ulchi Exercise will focus on establishing a rapid and systematic response system in the event of a national emergency, while assessing KORAIL’s ability to maintain stable railway operations and protect critical railway infrastructure.

강원본부는 연습 기간 동안 ▲비상소집 및 전시직제 편성훈련 ▲전시 주요현안 토의 ▲철도시설 피해 발생에 대비한 상황조치훈련 등 실제 비상상황을 고려한 다양한 훈련을 실시할 예정이다.

During the exercise, the Gangwon Regional Headquarters will conduct a series of realistic emergency drills, including emergency mobilization and wartime organizational restructuring, discussions on major wartime issues, and response exercises simulating damage to railway facilities.

특히 전시 주요현안 토의에서는 전시에만 발생할 수 있는 다양한 상황을 가정해 실제 현장에서 작동할 수 있는 해결방안을 도출하고, 대응 과정에서 나타날 수 있는 미비점을 보완함으로써 실질적인 비상대응 능력을 높일 계획이다.

In particular, discussions on major wartime issues will simulate situations that could arise specifically during wartime. Through these exercises, participants will develop practical solutions, identify potential gaps in existing response procedures, and further strengthen their real-world emergency response capabilities.

#김태락 강원본부장은 훈련 현장을 점검하며 “철도는 국가 핵심 기반시설로, 어떠한 비상상황에서도 국민의 안전과 철도교통의 기능을 유지할 수 있는 대응체계를 갖추는 것이 중요하다”며 “실전과 같은 훈련을 통해 직원들의 위기대응 역량을 높이고 빈틈없는 비상대비태세를 확립하겠다”고 말했다.

While inspecting the exercise preparations, General Manager Kim Tae-rak said, “Railways are a critical part of the nation’s infrastructure, and it is essential to maintain a response system capable of protecting public safety and ensuring the continued operation of railway transportation under any emergency circumstances.”

이어 그는 “실전과 같은 훈련을 통해 직원들의 위기대응 역량을 높이고 빈틈없는 비상대비태세를 확립하겠다”고 강조했다.

He added, “Through realistic, hands-on exercises, we will strengthen our employees’ crisis response capabilities and establish a thorough and seamless emergency preparedness system.”
