동해시 종합버스터미널 ‘택시승차대’ 2층으로 이전

동해시는 종합버스터미널 이용객의 택시 환승 편의를 높이기 위해 현재 1층 차량 진출입로에 있는 택시승차대를 2층 대합실 남측으로 이전한다.

Donghae City will relocate the taxi stand at the Donghae Intercity Bus Terminal from the vehicle entrance and exit area on the first floor to the south side of the second-floor waiting area, making transfers from buses to taxis more convenient for passengers.

기존 택시승차대는 버스 이용객이 택시로 갈아타는 과정에서 이동 동선이 불편하고, 택시 대기공간과 차량·보행자 동선 개선이 필요하다는 의견이 지속적으로 제기돼 왔다.

The existing taxi stand has long raised concerns over inconvenient transfer routes for bus passengers, insufficient waiting space for taxis, and the need to improve the movement and safety of both vehicles and pedestrians.

이에 시는 동해시시설관리공단 등 관계기관·단체와 현장을 점검하고 보행자 안전 등을 종합적으로 검토해 승차대 이전을 결정했다.

In response, Donghae City conducted an on-site inspection with the Donghae City Facilities Management Corporation and other relevant organizations. After reviewing pedestrian safety and overall traffic conditions, the city decided to relocate the taxi stand.

시는 8월 중 주차면 정비와 승차대 도색 등 시설 정비를 마치고 임시 운영에 들어간다. 임시 운영 기간에는 실제 이용객과 택시 운전자 등의 불편사항을 점검해 필요한 부분을 보완한 뒤 2027년부터 정식 운영할 계획이다.

The city plans to complete facility improvements, including parking-space adjustments and taxi-stand markings, during August before beginning temporary operation. During the trial period, feedback from passengers and taxi drivers will be reviewed and necessary improvements will be made, with full operation scheduled to begin in 2027.

#남태길 교통과장은 “터미널 이용객의 실제 불편사항을 현장에서 확인해 개선하는 데 중점을 뒀다”며 “시민과 관광객이 보다 편리하게 대중교통을 이용할 수 있도록 하겠다”고 말했다.

Nam Tae-gil, head of Donghae City’s Transportation Division, said, “We focused on identifying the actual inconveniences experienced by terminal users and finding practical improvements on site. We will continue working to make public transportation more convenient for both residents and visitors.”

동해시시설관리공단 관계자는 “임시 운영 과정에서 이용객과 택시 종사자들의 의견을 세심하게 살피고, 실제 이용 과정에서 발생하는 불편사항은 시와 공유해 개선해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

An official from the Donghae City Facilities Management Corporation said, “During the temporary operation period, we will closely listen to feedback from passengers and taxi drivers. Any inconveniences identified during actual use will be shared with the city so that necessary improvements can be made.”
