동해문화관광재단, 서울 여행사 초청 팸투어… 동해 관광상품 개발 박차

재단법인 동해문화관광재단은 서울지역 여행사 관계자들을 초청해 팸투어(Familiarization Tour)를 개최하고, 동해시의 대표 관광지를 직접 둘러보는 현장 답사를 진행했다. 이번 행사는 새로운 관광상품 개발과 단체관광객 유치를 위한 기반을 마련하기 위해 추진됐다.

The Donghae Culture & Tourism Foundation invited representatives from Seoul-based travel agencies to participate in a Familiarization (FAM) Tour, offering firsthand experiences of Donghae City's signature attractions. The program was designed to support the development of new travel products and attract more group visitors to the city.

이번 팸투어는 지난 6월 서울에서 열린 「동해시 관광 홍보설명회」에 참석했던 여행사를 대상으로 마련됐다. 참가자들은 동해시의 주요 관광명소와 다양한 체험시설을 둘러보며 관광상품으로서의 가능성과 체류형 관광 콘텐츠의 경쟁력을 직접 확인하는 시간을 가졌다.

The FAM Tour was organized for travel agencies that previously attended Donghae City's tourism promotion briefing held in Seoul last June. Participants explored major attractions and experiential facilities throughout the city, evaluating their potential for new travel packages and extended-stay tourism programs.

이번 행사에는 서울지역 여행사 관계자 등 약 30명이 참여했다. 참가자들은 무릉계곡 삼화사, 무릉별유천지, 추암해변, 어달항, 논골담길, 도째비골 스카이밸리 등 동해시를 대표하는 관광명소와 다양한 체험 콘텐츠를 차례로 방문했다.

Approximately 30 representatives from Seoul travel agencies joined the tour. The itinerary included Donghae's iconic destinations such as Samhwasa Temple in Mureung Valley, Mureung Byeolyucheonji, Chuam Beach, Eodal Port, Nongoldam-gil, and the Dodaebigol Sky Valley, showcasing the city's diverse tourism experiences.

참가자들은 무릉계곡 삼화사와 무릉별유천지에서 다양한 체험시설을 이용하고 추암해변의 아름다운 풍경을 감상했다. 이어 어달항과 어달삼거리, 논골담길, 도째비골 스카이밸리를 둘러본 뒤, 분토체험휴양마을에서는 전통 장 만들기 체험에 참여하며 동해시만의 특색 있는 체험형 관광 콘텐츠를 직접 경험했다.

During the tour, participants enjoyed hands-on programs at Samhwasa Temple and Mureung Byeolyucheonji while taking in the spectacular scenery of Chuam Beach. They continued their journey through Eodal Port, Eodal Junction, Nongoldam-gil, and Dodaebigol Sky Valley before experiencing traditional Korean fermented sauce making at Bunto Experience Village, discovering Donghae's unique experiential tourism offerings.

재단 관계자는 "이번 팸투어는 서울지역 여행사들이 동해시 관광자원을 직접 체험하며 관광상품으로 발전시킬 가능성을 확인하는 뜻깊은 자리였다"며 "앞으로도 여행업계와 지속적으로 협력해 경쟁력 있는 관광상품을 발굴하고 더 많은 관광객이 동해시를 찾을 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다"고 밝혔다.

A Foundation official said, "This FAM Tour provided an excellent opportunity for travel agencies to experience Donghae's tourism resources firsthand and explore their potential as marketable travel products. We will continue working closely with the travel industry to develop competitive tourism programs and attract even more visitors to Donghae City."
