천곡동지역사회보장협의체, 1인 청장년 밀키트 지원사업 추진

Cheongok-dong Community Security Council Launches Meal Kit Support Program for Single Young Adults

동해시 천곡동지역사회보장협의체는 사회적 고립 및 은둔형 청장년 1인 가구의 고독사를 예방하기 위해 7월부터 밀키트 지원사업을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

The Cheongok-dong Community Security Council in Donghae City has launched a meal kit support program starting in July to help prevent lonely deaths among socially isolated and reclusive young adults living alone.

이번 사업은 동 지역사회보장협의체 지역특성화 공모사업으로, 1인 가구가 밀집한 천곡동의 지역 특성을 반영해 마련됐다. 사회적 고립 위험이 있는 청장년 1인 가구 15세대를 대상으로 밀키트를 지원하고, 정기적인 안부 확인을 통해 복지 사각지대를 살필 계획이다.

This project is part of the Community Security Council's regional specialized initiative, designed to reflect the unique characteristics of Cheongok-dong, where many single-person households reside. Meal kits will be provided to 15 young adult households at risk of social isolation, along with regular wellness check-ins to identify and support those in welfare blind spots.

협의체 위원들은 대상자와 결연을 맺어 월 2회 가정을 방문해 밀키트를 전달하고 안부를 확인하며, 지속적인 모니터링을 통해 위기 상황을 조기에 발견하는 등 고독사 예방 안전망 구축에 나설 예정이다.

Council members will be paired with each participant, visiting their homes twice a month to deliver meal kits, check on their well-being, and monitor their situation. Through these ongoing visits, the program aims to detect potential crises early and strengthen a community safety network that helps prevent lonely deaths.

#이상철 민간위원장은 “밀키트 지원은 식사를 돕는 것을 넘어 정기적인 안부 확인으로 청장년 1인 가구의 일상 회복을 지원하는 사업”이라며 “앞으로도 복지 사각지대 해소를 위해 적극 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

#Lee Sang-cheol, Chair of the Civilian Committee, said, "This program is about more than providing meals. Through regular visits and caring conversations, we hope to support the daily recovery of young adults living alone. We will continue working to reduce welfare blind spots in our community."

#윤성규 천곡동장은 “이웃을 위해 따뜻한 나눔을 실천하는 협의체 위원들께 감사드린다”며 “민·관이 함께 고독사 없는 따뜻한 지역사회를 만들어 가겠다”고 말했다.
