스마트부표·자율형 드론·통합 플랫폼 연계 해변 안전 대응체계 구축

동해시와 강원테크노파크, ㈜스마트쿱, ㈜나르마, ㈜퓨텍 등 관계기관과 참여기업이 참석해 스마트 연안안전 구축을 위한 운영 협약을 체결했다.

Donghae City, together with Gangwon Technopark and participating companies including Smartcoop, Narma, and Putech, signed a cooperative agreement to establish a next-generation AI-powered coastal safety system.

동해시는 7월 8일 안전정보센터에서 「2026년 온디바이스 AI 서비스 실증·확산 사업 운영 협약식」을 개최하고, 스마트부표와 자율형 드론, 통합 플랫폼을 연계한 스마트 연안 안전체계 구축을 본격적으로 시작했다.

On July 8, Donghae City officially launched the 2026 On-Device AI Service Demonstration and Expansion Project by signing an operational agreement at the Safety Information Center. The project marks the beginning of a smart coastal safety system integrating intelligent buoys, autonomous drones, and a real-time monitoring platform.

이번 사업은 과학기술정보통신부와 정보통신산업진흥원(NIPA)이 추진하는 국가 공모사업으로, 온디바이스 AI 기술을 활용해 연안 재난을 실시간으로 감지하고 신속하게 대응하는 것이 핵심이다.

This national initiative, supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), aims to detect and respond to coastal emergencies in real time using advanced on-device AI technology.

총사업비 98억 1천만 원이 투입되며, 사업은 2027년 말까지 한섬해변과 하평해변을 중심으로 추진된다. AI 기반 스마트부표와 자율비행 드론이 위험 상황을 감지하고, 통합 플랫폼을 통해 신속한 대응이 가능하도록 구축된다.

With a total investment of KRW 9.81 billion, the project will be implemented through the end of 2027, focusing on Hansom Beach and Happyeong Beach. AI-powered smart buoys, autonomous drones, and an integrated monitoring platform will work together to identify hazards and support rapid emergency response.

협약식에는 동해시를 비롯해 강원테크노파크와 참여기업들이 참석해 기관별 역할을 공유하고, 사업 종료 이후에도 주요 시스템을 안정적으로 운영하기 위한 협력체계를 구축하기로 뜻을 모았다.

Representatives from Donghae City, Gangwon Technopark, and participating technology companies discussed their respective roles and agreed to establish a long-term cooperative framework to ensure stable operation of the system even after the project is completed.

동해시는 이번 사업이 대한민국 정부의 해양안전 정책과도 연계되는 만큼 시민과 관광객 모두가 안심할 수 있는 스마트 연안안전 모델을 구축하고, 전국으로 확산 가능한 선도 사례를 만들어 나갈 계획이다.

Donghae City believes the project aligns closely with Korea's national maritime safety strategy and aims to create a smart coastal safety model that protects both residents and visitors while serving as a benchmark for coastal communities across the country.

#채시병 안전도시국장은 "이번 협약은 AI 기반 스마트 연안안전망 구축의 중요한 출발점"이라며 "참여기관과 긴밀히 협력해 시민의 생명과 안전을 지키는 실효성 있는 안전체계를 구축하겠다"고 말했다.

Chae Si-byeong, Director of the Safety City Bureau, said,

"This agreement marks an important first step toward building an AI-driven smart coastal safety network. Through close collaboration with our partners, we will establish an effective safety system that protects the lives of citizens and visitors alike."
