동해시, 대한민국 국제관광박람회 참가

동해시는 7월 3일부터 5일까지 일산 킨텍스에서 열리는 ‘제11회 대한민국 국제관광박람회’에 참가해 차별화된 체험형 관광홍보를 펼친다.

Donghae City is participating in the 11th Korea International Tourism Show, held from July 3 to 5 at KINTEX in Ilsan, where it is showcasing unique experiential tourism programs to attract visitors during the summer travel season.

시는 홍보관을 운영하며 무릉별유천지와 추암해변, 묵호권 관광지 등 대표 관광명소를 비롯해 여름철 해수욕장 운영, 전통시장과 야시장 체험 등 다양한 관광자원을 적극 홍보할 계획이다. 또한 관광 홍보영상 상영, 관광안내 리플릿 배부, 인스타그램 팔로우 이벤트 등을 통해 동해시 관광의 매력을 널리 알릴 예정이다.

At its promotional booth, the city is introducing its signature attractions, including Mureung Byeollyucheonji, Chuam Beach, and the Mukho tourism district. Visitors can also learn about Donghae's summer beaches, traditional markets, and lively night markets. Promotional videos, travel brochures, and Instagram follow events are being offered to engage visitors and highlight the city's diverse tourism experiences.

특히 강원관광재단이 선정한 ‘7월 이달의 추천 여행지’인 망상해수욕장과 무릉별유천지를 중심으로 여름철 대표 관광 콘텐츠를 집중 홍보할 계획이다.

Special attention is being given to Mangsang Beach and Mureung Byeollyucheonji, both selected as Gangwon Tourism Organization's "Recommended Destinations for July." These attractions are being highlighted as Donghae's premier summer travel destinations.

올해는 무릉별유천지 라벤더축제 기간 직접 수확한 라벤더를 활용한 ‘라벤더 향낭 만들기 체험’도 운영한다. 관람객들은 직접 향낭을 만들며 동해의 향기와 감성을 느낄 수 있으며, 가족 단위 방문객과 젊은 층 모두가 함께 즐길 수 있는 체험형 프로그램으로 동해만의 특별한 관광 매력을 경험하게 된다.

This year's exhibition also features a "Lavender Sachet Workshop" using lavender harvested during the Mureung Byeollyucheonji Lavender Festival. Visitors can create their own fragrant sachets while experiencing the scent and atmosphere of Donghae. The hands-on activity is designed to appeal to families as well as younger travelers, offering a memorable and uniquely local experience.

아울러 시티투어버스와 스탬프투어, 해파랑길 트레킹 코스 등 체류형 관광 콘텐츠도 함께 소개해 수도권을 비롯한 국내외 관광객 유치에 나선다.

The city is also promoting longer-stay travel experiences through its City Tour Bus, Stamp Tour program, and the scenic Haeparang Trail trekking routes, encouraging both domestic and international visitors to spend more time exploring Donghae.

동해시는 이번 박람회를 계기로 여름 휴가철 관광객 유치와 하반기 관광 활성화를 위한 홍보를 지속적으로 이어갈 계획이다.

Through its participation in the tourism expo, Donghae City aims to attract more visitors during the peak summer vacation season while continuing promotional efforts throughout the second half of the year to further strengthen the local tourism industry.
