동해시, 의용소방대 교육·훈련 장비 지원

동해시가 의용소방대원의 현장 대응능력 강화를 위해 교육·훈련 장비를 동해소방서 의용소방대연합회에 전달했다고 밝혔다.

Donghae City has provided new education and training equipment to the Donghae Fire Station Volunteer Fire Brigade Association to strengthen the emergency response capabilities of volunteer firefighters.

시는 성인용 전신 CPR 마네킨과 교육용 자동심장충격기(AED) 등 총 4천만 원 상당의 교육·훈련 장비 3종 8점을 구입했다. 이번 장비는 별도의 대여 절차 없이 의용소방대원들이 언제든 교육과 실습에 활용할 수 있도록 동해소방서 의용소방대연합회(회장 안희석)에 무상 대여 방식으로 지원됐다.

The city purchased eight pieces of training equipment across three categories, valued at approximately KRW 40 million (about USD 29,000). The equipment includes adult full-body CPR manikins and training automated external defibrillators (AEDs). It has been provided to the Donghae Fire Station Volunteer Fire Brigade Association, led by Chairman Ahn Hee-seok, under a free-use arrangement, allowing members to conduct education and practical training without separate rental procedures.

이번 지원은 의용소방대원들의 응급처치와 심폐소생술(CPR) 교육을 더욱 체계적으로 실시하고, 실제 재난과 응급 상황에서 신속하고 정확한 대응 역량을 높이기 위한 기반을 마련하는 데 의미가 있다.

The initiative is designed to enhance systematic first-aid and CPR education while improving the brigade's ability to respond quickly and accurately during real-life emergencies and disasters.

#이인섭 안전과장은 “의용소방대는 지역 안전의 최일선에서 활동하는 든든한 봉사자”라며 “앞으로도 대원들이 보다 효과적으로 활동할 수 있도록 실질적인 지원을 확대해 시민의 생명과 안전을 지키는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

Lee In-seop, Director of the Safety Division, said, "Volunteer firefighters are dedicated community volunteers serving on the front lines of public safety. We will continue expanding practical support so they can perform their duties more effectively and help protect the lives and safety of our citizens."
