동해시, 망상제2오토캠핑장 자동차 전용캠핑장으로 새단장

Donghae City Renovates Mangsang No.2 Auto Campsite into a Dedicated Car Camping Site

동해시는 노후된 망상제2오토캠핑장의 캐라반 시설을 철거하고 자동차 전용캠핑장을 새롭게 조성해 오는 7월 중 운영에 들어갈 계획이다.

Donghae City has completed the transformation of the aging Mangsang No.2 Auto Campsite by removing outdated caravan facilities and creating a modern car camping site, which is scheduled to open in July.

시는 올해 초부터 운영조례 개정 등 관련 행정절차를 추진했으며, 지난 4월부터 자동차 전용캠핑장 조성공사를 본격적으로 진행해 현재 개장을 위한 마무리 작업을 하고 있다.

Since the beginning of this year, the city has completed the necessary administrative procedures, including revisions to operational regulations. Construction began in April, and final preparations are now underway ahead of the official opening.

새롭게 조성되는 자동차 전용캠핑장은 동해대로 6270-14 일원 29,256㎡ 부지에 총 40면 규모로 조성된다. 또한 샤워장과 개수대를 새롭게 설치해 캠핑객들이 보다 편리하고 쾌적하게 이용할 수 있도록 했다.

The new campground covers 29,256 square meters along Donghae-daero (6270-14) and offers 40 spacious camping sites. Newly installed shower facilities and washing stations provide visitors with greater comfort and convenience throughout their stay.

이용요금은 성수기 4만5천 원, 비수기 주말 2만7천 원, 평일 2만2천 원으로 책정돼 가족 단위 방문객과 캠핑객들이 부담 없이 이용할 수 있도록 했다.

Camping fees have been set at an affordable level: KRW 45,000 during peak season, KRW 27,000 on weekends in the off-season, and KRW 22,000 on weekdays, making the site accessible for families and camping enthusiasts alike.

시는 자동차 전용캠핑장 조성을 통해 다양한 캠핑 수요에 대응하고 해변 관광과 연계한 체류형 관광을 활성화해 지역경제에도 긍정적인 효과를 가져올 것으로 기대하고 있다.

The city expects the new campground to meet the growing demand for car camping while encouraging longer stays linked with nearby beach tourism. The project is also anticipated to boost the local tourism industry and regional economy.

#이진화 관광과장은 "자동차 전용캠핑장 조성으로 다양한 캠핑 수요를 충족하고 보다 쾌적한 캠핑 환경을 제공할 수 있게 됐다"며 "망상오토캠핑리조트와 함께 동해안을 대표하는 체류형 해양관광 거점으로 성장할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.
