원주시 청년정책네트워크, 정책 역량 강화 워크숍 개최

Wonju Youth Policy Network Holds Policy Capacity-Building Workshop

원주시는 지난 28일 청년라운지 이스트에서 원주시 청년정책네트워크 위원을 대상으로 정책 역량 강화와 위원 간 소통·협력 증진을 위한 ‘2026년 원주시 청년정책네트워크 워크숍’을 개최했다.

The City of Wonju held the 2026 Wonju Youth Policy Network Workshop on June 28 at Youth Lounge East, providing members of the Wonju Youth Policy Network with opportunities to strengthen their policy-making capabilities while fostering communication and collaboration among participants.

원주시 청년정책네트워크는 청년이 직접 정책 발굴과 제안 과정에 참여하는 청년 거버넌스 기구로, 청년의 다양한 목소리를 시정에 반영하고 실효성 있는 청년정책을 마련하는 역할을 맡고 있다.

The Wonju Youth Policy Network serves as a youth governance organization where young people actively participate in discovering and proposing public policies. It plays a key role in reflecting the diverse voices of local youth in municipal administration while helping develop practical and effective youth policies.

이번 워크숍은 청년정책에 대한 이해도를 높이고 정책 제안 역량을 강화하기 위해 마련됐으며, 청년정책 전문가 특강과 분과별 토론, 네트워킹 프로그램 등 다양한 내용으로 진행됐다.

The workshop was designed to deepen participants' understanding of youth policy and enhance their policy proposal skills. The program featured expert lectures on youth policy, group discussions by policy sectors, and networking sessions that encouraged active exchange of ideas.

특히 청년정책의 최신 동향과 우수 사례를 공유하고, 청년들이 지역사회에서 체감할 수 있는 정책 아이디어를 발굴하는 시간을 통해 청년 주도의 정책 참여 기반을 더욱 강화하는 계기가 됐다.

A key highlight of the workshop was the sharing of the latest trends and successful case studies in youth policy. Participants also worked together to develop policy ideas that young residents could genuinely experience in their daily lives, further strengthening youth-led participation in local governance.

앞으로도 원주시는 청년정책네트워크 운영을 통해 청년 의견 수렴, 정책 제안 활동, 청년정책 모니터링 등을 추진하며 청년 참여 기반 확대에 힘쓸 방침이다.

Moving forward, the City of Wonju plans to continue expanding youth participation by operating the Youth Policy Network, collecting opinions from young citizens, supporting policy proposal activities, and monitoring the implementation of youth-related policies.

#이영섭 복지정책과장은 “청년정책네트워크는 청년이 정책의 수혜자를 넘어 정책 형성 과정에 직접 참여하는 중요한 소통 창구”라며, “앞으로도 청년들의 다양한 의견이 시정에 반영될 수 있도록 적극 지원해 ‘청년이 살고 싶고, 머물고 싶고, 성장할 수 있는 도시’ 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.

Lee Young-seop, Director of the Welfare Policy Division, said, “The Youth Policy Network is an important platform that enables young people to move beyond being beneficiaries of policy and become active participants in the policy-making process. We will continue to support meaningful youth participation so that their voices are reflected in city administration, helping build a city where young people want to live, stay, and grow.”
