민선 9기 동해시장 취임 기념 시민 한마당 공연 개최

민선 9기 동해시장직 인수위원회는 오는 7월 1일, 민선 9기 이정학 동해시장의 취임을 기념하기 위해 오후 6시 30분, 동해문화예술회관 야외공연장에서 지역 문화예술인과 어린이, 청소년 등이 함께하는 시민 한마당 공연을 개최한다고 밝혔다.

The Transition Committee for the 9th Elected Mayor of Donghae announced that a Citizen Celebration Performance will be held at 6:30 p.m. on July 1 at the outdoor stage of the Donghae Culture & Arts Center to commemorate the inauguration of Mayor Lee Jeong-hak. The event will bring together local artists, children, and youth in a festive community celebration.

동해시 최초의 진보 성향 시장으로 당선된 이정학 시장의 취임을 축하하고 시민 화합과 소통을 위해 마련된 이번 행사는 해군 제1함대 군악대의 오프닝 공연을 시작으로 다채로운 문화예술 무대가 펼쳐질 예정이다.

Organized to celebrate Mayor Lee Jeong-hak—the first progressive mayor elected in Donghae City's history—and to promote unity and communication among citizens, the event will begin with a performance by the Republic of Korea Navy First Fleet Band, followed by a variety of cultural and artistic performances.

공연에는 청춘악단, 실버합창단, KM스포츠센터 어린이댄스팀, 국가대표태권도장 태권도 품새 시연팀, 2인조 통기타 밴드 추억여행, 동해시통기타동아리, 조석휘 작가의 영상 상영, 테너 조두석, 소프라노 고순정, 그리고 동해시립합창단 등이 출연한다.

The lineup features performances by the Cheongchun Orchestra, Silver Choir, KM Sports Center Children's Dance Team, National Taekwondo Academy Poomsae Team, the acoustic guitar duo Memory Journey, the Donghae Guitar Club, a video presentation by artist Cho Seok-hwi, tenor Cho Doo-seok, soprano Go Soon-jeong, and the Donghae City Choir.

공연 후에는 민선 9기 이정학 동해시장의 시민 인사가 이어지며, 모든 출연진이 함께하는 피날레 합동공연과 꽃 폭죽 퍼포먼스로 시민들과 함께 새로운 출발을 축하할 예정이다.

Following the performances, Mayor Lee Jeong-hak will deliver a greeting to the citizens. The celebration will conclude with a grand finale featuring all performers and a flower fireworks performance, symbolizing a hopeful new beginning for Donghae.

이번 시민 한마당은 선거 기간 중 지역 문화예술 진흥을 위한 간담회에 참석했던 지역 문화예술인들이 당선을 축하하는 의미에서 제안한 행사로, 기획부터 운영까지 민간이 주도했다. 사회자와 일부 공연자는 재능기부로 참여해 더욱 뜻깊은 행사로 마련됐다.

The event was proposed by local artists who had participated in discussions on promoting regional arts during the election campaign. Planned and organized primarily by the private sector, the celebration also includes volunteer contributions from the host and several performers through talent donations, making the occasion even more meaningful.

인수위원회 관계자는 "당선인의 뜻에 따라 취임식은 시청 대회의실에서 검소하고 간소하게 진행하기로 했다"며 "대신 시민들과 함께하는 문화공연을 통해 새로운 동해시의 희망찬 출발과 시민 화합의 메시지를 전하고자 한다"고 말했다.

A representative of the Transition Committee said, "In accordance with the mayor-elect's wishes, the official inauguration ceremony will be held in a simple and modest manner at City Hall. Instead, we hope this cultural celebration with citizens will mark a hopeful beginning for the new Donghae administration while fostering unity and communication throughout the community."
