동해시가 해양수산부가 주관하는 ‘2027년 어촌뉴딜 3.0사업’ 공모 선정을 위해 오는 6월 26일 오후 1시 예정된 현장평가 준비에 총력을 기울이고 있다.

Donghae City is making every effort to prepare for the on-site evaluation scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on June 26 as part of its bid for the 2027 Fishing Village New Deal 3.0 Project, organized by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.

‘어촌뉴딜 3.0사업’은 어촌의 활력을 높이고 정주여건을 개선하기 위한 국가 공모사업으로, 해양수산부는 2027년 사업 대상지로 전국 40개소를 선정할 계획이다.

The Fishing Village New Deal 3.0 Project is a national initiative aimed at revitalizing fishing communities and improving living conditions. The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries plans to select 40 locations nationwide for the 2027 program.

묵호항은 이번 공모에서 경제도약형 부문에 신청했으며, 총사업비 300억 원 규모의 대형 프로젝트로 추진된다.

Mukho Port has applied under the Economic Growth Category, with a total project budget of KRW 30 billion, making it one of the city's largest coastal development initiatives.

동해시가 제안한 사업은 활선어판매센터 신축을 핵심으로 공중보행로 조성, 폐수처리장 개보수, 야간경관 개선 등을 포함하고 있다.

The city's proposal centers on the construction of a new live seafood sales center, complemented by elevated pedestrian walkways, wastewater treatment facility upgrades, and enhanced nighttime landscape lighting.

이를 통해 수산물 유통 기능과 어업 기반을 강화하는 동시에 체류형 관광 기반을 확충하여, 어업과 관광이 공존하는 복합 해양거점을 조성한다는 계획이다.

The project aims to strengthen seafood distribution and fisheries infrastructure while expanding facilities for stay-type tourism, ultimately creating a multifunctional coastal hub where fisheries and tourism thrive together.

동해시는 현장평가에서 사업의 필요성과 추진 당위성, 기대효과는 물론 지역 연계 전략과 사업 추진 역량을 중점적으로 설명할 예정이다.

During the on-site evaluation, Donghae City will emphasize the project's necessity, expected benefits, regional connectivity strategy, and its proven capability to successfully implement the project.

동해시는 그동안 어촌 재생사업에서도 꾸준한 성과를 거두어 왔다. 2019년 어달항 어촌뉴딜300사업을 통해 해양관광 기반과 경관을 개선했으며, 올해는 대진·어달·노봉 어촌활력증진지원 시범사업을 준공해 생활환경과 관광 인프라를 확충했다.

Donghae City has already demonstrated successful experience in coastal regeneration projects. Through the Eodal Port Fishing Village New Deal 300 Project in 2019, it improved the coastal landscape and marine tourism infrastructure. This year, it also completed the Daejin–Eodal–Nobong Fishing Village Vitalization Pilot Project, enhancing local living conditions and tourism facilities.

시는 이러한 선행사업 경험을 바탕으로 묵호항 어촌뉴딜 3.0사업 역시 성공적으로 추진할 충분한 역량을 갖추고 있다는 점을 평가단에 적극 설명할 계획이다.

Building on these successful precedents, Donghae City plans to demonstrate to the evaluation committee that it possesses the experience, administrative capacity, and execution capability necessary to successfully deliver the Mukho Port Fishing Village New Deal 3.0 Project.
