민선 9기 동해시 시정구호 확정

동해시장직 인수위원회는 24일 제4차 회의 및 중간보고회를 열고 민선 9기 동해시 시정구호를 “새로운 동해, 시민과 함께 여는 미래”로 확정·발표했다.

The Transition Committee for the Mayor of Donghae held its fourth meeting and interim report session on June 24, officially announcing the slogan for the 9th popularly elected municipal administration as “A New Donghae, Opening the Future Together with Citizens.”

‘새로운 동해’는 이정학 당선인이 동해시 최초의 민주당 출신 시장이라는 상징성과 함께, 기존 산업구조를 첨단 미래산업 중심으로 전환하고 그 변화를 문화·복지·교육·체육·생활환경 등 시민 삶 전반으로 확산시키겠다는 비전을 담고 있다.

The phrase “A New Donghae” reflects not only Mayor-elect Lee Jeong-hak’s significance as the first mayor from the Democratic Party in Donghae’s history, but also his vision of transforming the city's traditional industrial structure into one driven by advanced future-oriented industries and extending those changes into culture, welfare, education, sports, and the overall quality of life.

‘시민과 함께 여는 미래’는 선거 기간 동안 지속적으로 강조해 온 시민과의 소통 강화와 열린 행정 구현, 그리고 행정 혁신에 대한 철학을 담고 있다.

The phrase “Opening the Future Together with Citizens” embodies the mayor-elect’s commitment to strengthening communication with residents, promoting transparent governance, and advancing administrative innovation—principles he consistently emphasized throughout the election campaign.

시정구호를 확정한 인수위원회는 지난주 시청 각 부서로부터 주요 업무보고를 받았으며, 앞으로 공약을 구체화해 민선 9기 핵심 시정과제를 선정한 뒤 당선인에게 보고할 계획이다.

Following the confirmation of the slogan, the Transition Committee completed briefings from major city departments last week and plans to refine campaign pledges into key policy initiatives for the 9th administration before submitting them to the mayor-elect.

인수위원회 관계자는 “이번 시정구호는 단순한 슬로건이 아니라 당선인의 시정 철학과 민선 9기 정책 방향을 담고 있다”며 “시민들이 빠르게 변화를 체감할 수 있도록 민생경제 대책과 행정혁신 방안을 마련하는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

A committee official stated, “This slogan is more than a simple catchphrase; it represents the mayor-elect’s governing philosophy and the policy direction of the 9th administration. We will do our utmost to develop economic support measures and administrative reforms that allow citizens to experience tangible change as quickly as possible.”

민선 9기 동해시장직 인수위원회는 6개 분과, 15명의 위원으로 구성되어 있으며 오는 6월 30일까지 운영될 예정이다.

The Transition Committee consists of six divisions and fifteen members, and will continue its operations through June 30.
