북평동, 시민 AI 리터러시 높이는 ‘AI 강좌’ 운영

“Living as an Independent Citizen in the AI Era” – 20-Week Curriculum Held Every Friday from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

“AI는 우리 삶에 어떤 의미를 갖는가? AI가 보편화된 미래 기술사회에서 시민이 자신의 권리를 향유하려면 어떤 자질을 갖춰야 할까?”

“What does AI mean for our lives? What qualities should citizens possess to fully exercise their rights in a future society where AI is ubiquitous?”

AI 기술이 빠르게 확산되는 가운데, 이러한 질문에 답하고 시민들의 AI 활용 역량을 높이기 위한 교육이 지역사회에서 진행되고 있어 관심을 모으고 있다.

As AI technology rapidly spreads across society, a community-based educational program designed to answer these questions and strengthen citizens’ AI capabilities is drawing attention.

지난 5월부터 운영 중인 이번 강좌는 AI를 단순한 도구로 활용하는 방법을 넘어 AI 전환(AX) 시대에 필요한 디지털 역량과 AI 리터러시를 기르는 데 초점을 두고 있다.

The program, which began in May, goes beyond teaching AI as a simple tool and focuses on developing the digital competencies and AI literacy required in the age of AI Transformation (AX).

강좌는 총 20강으로 구성돼 챗GPT 등 생성형 AI 활용법과 프롬프트 작성, 콘텐츠 제작, AI 에이전트 활용, AI 윤리 등 다양한 주제를 다루며 이론과 실습을 병행해 진행된다.

The 20-session course covers a wide range of topics, including the use of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, prompt engineering, content creation, AI agents, and AI ethics. The program combines both theoretical learning and hands-on practice.

특히 동해 출신 AI 전문가인 임정혁 한국재정정보원 이사가 재능기부로 강의를 맡아 고향 시민들의 AI 역량 향상을 돕고 있다.

 Notably, Lim Jeong-hyeok, an AI expert from Donghae and Executive Director of the Korea Public Finance Information Service, is volunteering his expertise to lead the course and help local residents enhance their AI skills.

#김의환 북평동장은 "시민들이 AI 시대의 변화에 능동적으로 대응할 수 있도록 지원하는 것이 중요하다”며 “이번 강좌가 시민들의 일상과 업무에 실질적인 도움이 되길 기대한다”고 말했다.

Kim Eui-hwan, Head of Bukpyeong-dong, stated, “It is important to support citizens so they can actively respond to changes brought about by the AI era. We hope this course will provide practical benefits in both daily life and work.”

한 수강생은 “AI를 막연하게 생각했는데 강의를 통해 무엇을 배우고 활용할 수 있는지 구체적으로 알게 됐다”며 “앞으로 AI를 더욱 효과적으로 활용할 수 있을 것 같아 기대된다”고 소감을 전했다.

One participant shared, “I previously had only a vague understanding of AI, but through this course I have learned specifically what I can study and apply. I am excited to use AI more effectively in the future.”
