Mukho-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee Hosts the 21st Senior Talent Show and Appreciation Festival

묵호동주민자치위원회(위원장 김태호)는 지난 16일 묵호동행정복지센터에서 「제21회 묵호동 경로당 기예대회 및 경로잔치」를 성황리에 개최했다.

The Mukho-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee, chaired by Kim Tae-ho, successfully held the 21st Mukho-dong Senior Center Talent Show and Senior Appreciation Festival on June 16 at the Mukho-dong Administrative Welfare Center.

이날 행사에는 묵호동 사회단체장들과 동해시의회 의원, 지역 어르신 400여 명이 참석해 따뜻한 화합의 시간을 함께했다.

The event was attended by local community leaders, members of the Donghae City Council, and approximately 400 senior citizens, creating a warm atmosphere of unity and fellowship.

경로당 기예대회와 경로잔치를 함께 진행한 이번 행사는 경로효친 정신을 되새기고 세대 간 소통과 화합을 증진하기 위해 마련됐다.

This combined talent show and appreciation banquet was organized to honor the traditional values of respect for elders while promoting communication and harmony between generations.

개회식과 축하공연을 시작으로 윷놀이, 투호 경기, 노래자랑, 경품추첨 등 다양한 프로그램이 진행되었으며, 어르신들은 즐거운 웃음과 함께 뜻깊은 시간을 보냈다.

The celebration featured an opening ceremony, congratulatory performances, traditional games such as Yutnori and Tuho, a singing contest, and a prize raffle. Seniors enjoyed a memorable day filled with laughter and joy.

특히 주민자치위원회, 통장협의회, 새마을부녀회 등 지역 사회단체 회원들이 자원봉사자로 참여해 행사 운영을 도우며 나눔과 효의 가치를 실천했다.

In particular, volunteers from various local organizations, including the Residents' Autonomy Committee, Tongjang Association, and Saemaul Women's Association, supported the event, embodying the spirit of sharing and filial respect.

#김태호 주민자치위원장은 "어르신들이 건강하고 행복한 시간을 보내시길 바란다"며 "행사 준비와 운영에 힘써주신 모든 분들께 진심으로 감사드린다"고 말했다.

Chairman Kim Tae-ho stated, “I hope our senior citizens enjoy a healthy and happy time together. I sincerely thank everyone who contributed to the preparation and successful operation of this event.”

이번 경로잔치는 지역사회가 함께 어르신을 공경하고 감사의 마음을 전하는 뜻깊은 행사로, 따뜻한 공동체 문화와 세대 간 화합의 가치를 다시 한번 확인하는 계기가 되었다.

The festival served as a meaningful occasion for the community to express gratitude and respect toward senior citizens, reaffirming the values of intergenerational harmony and a caring community culture.
