동해시가 유아들이 자연과 교감하며 건강하게 성장할 수 있도록 다양한 유아숲체험 프로그램을 운영하고 있다. 숲은 단순한 놀이공간을 넘어 아이들이 자연을 배우고 생명의 소중함을 체험하는 살아있는 교실로 자리 잡고 있다.

The Forest Becomes a Classroom

Donghae City is operating a variety of forest experience programs for young children, helping them grow through direct interaction with nature. The forest serves not only as a playground but also as a living classroom where children can learn about the environment and the value of life.

자연 속에서 배우는 특별한 체험

유아숲체험 프로그램은 숲의 다양한 식생과 자연환경을 직접 관찰하고 체험하는 활동으로 구성된다. 아이들은 나무와 꽃, 곤충을 만나고 자연의 변화를 몸으로 느끼며 집중력과 탐구력을 키워간다. 또한 자연친화적인 정서를 함양하며 건강한 성장의 밑거름을 마련하고 있다.

Learning Through Nature

The program allows children to observe and experience diverse forest ecosystems firsthand. By meeting trees, flowers, insects, and seasonal changes, children develop concentration, curiosity, and observation skills while fostering a deep appreciation for nature.

프로그램은 해오름유아숲체험원(10,082㎡), 가원습지생태자연공원(45,900㎡), 망상사구생태관(7,579㎡) 등 3개 시설에서 운영된다. 각 공간은 서로 다른 자연환경을 갖추고 있어 아이들에게 다양한 생태 체험 기회를 제공한다.

The program is offered at three locations: Haeoreum Children's Forest Experience Center (10,082㎡), Gawon Wetland Ecological Nature Park (45,900㎡), and Mangsang Dune Ecology Center (7,579㎡). Each site offers unique ecosystems and opportunities for children to explore nature from different perspectives.

전문 숲지도사와 함께하는 자연 교육

동해시는 산림복지 전문기관에 프로그램을 위탁 운영하고 있으며, 4명의 유아숲지도사가 상주해 체계적인 산림교육과 놀이 체험을 진행하고 있다. 유치원과 어린이집은 물론 유아를 동반한 가족과 단체도 참여할 수 있어 시민들의 호응이 높다.

Guided by Professional Forest Educators

The city collaborates with professional forest welfare organizations, with four certified forest instructors stationed on-site. They provide structured environmental education and interactive activities for kindergartens, daycare centers, families, and community groups.

계절마다 달라지는 숲 이야기

프로그램은 계절의 변화와 자연환경의 특성을 반영해 매달 새로운 주제로 운영된다. 6월에는 ‘천연림 탐사 기행’, 7월에는 ‘숲속 음악회’가 진행되며, 오는 11월까지 다채로운 체험활동이 이어질 예정이다.

 New Themes Every Season

Each month features a unique theme reflecting seasonal changes and natural characteristics. June offers a "Native Forest Exploration Journey," while July hosts a "Forest Concert," with many more engaging activities continuing through November.

 1만 명이 찾는 자연교육 명소

동해시에는 유치원 13개소와 어린이집 53개소가 운영되고 있으며 총 3,462명의 영유아가 생활하고 있다. 지난해에는 10,268명이 숲체험 프로그램에 참여했으며, 올해도 약 270회 운영을 통해 1만 명 이상의 참여를 목표로 하고 있다.

A Nature Education Destination for Thousands

Donghae is home to 13 kindergartens and 53 daycare centers serving 3,462 young children. Last year, 10,268 participants joined the forest programs, and this year the city aims to host approximately 270 sessions and welcome over 10,000 participants.

자연과 함께 자라는 미래

#심광진 녹지과장은 “아이들이 숲에서 뛰놀며 자연의 소중함을 배우고 건강하게 성장할 수 있도록 다양한 산림교육 프로그램을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”며 시민들의 관심과 참여를 당부했다.
