춘천이 이탈리아 문화의 향기로 물들었다. 제6회 「챠오! 이탈리아(Ciao! Italia)」 축제가 열린 13일, 시민들은 음식과 와인, 영화, 인문학을 통해 이탈리아의 매력을 오감으로 체험하며 특별한 주말을 보냈다.

이번 축제의 주요 프로그램인 쿠킹클래스, 와인·치즈 클래스, 인문학 특강은 사전 접수 단계에서 모두 마감될 정도로 큰 인기를 끌었다. 시민들은 직접 만들고 배우고 맛보며 이탈리아 문화를 더욱 가까이에서 경험했다.

Major programs, including cooking classes, wine and cheese workshops, and humanities lectures, were fully booked in advance, reflecting strong public interest. Participants enjoyed hands-on experiences that allowed them to learn, create, and savor Italian culture firsthand.

춘천시농업기술센터에서 열린 쿠킹클래스에서는 롯데호텔앤리조트 서울의 총괄 셰프인 세바스티아노 잔그레고리오가 정통 이탈리아 요리를 소개했다. 참가자들은 셰프의 설명을 따라 직접 요리를 만들고, 완성된 음식을 함께 맛보며 즐거운 추억을 만들었다.

At the Chuncheon Agricultural Technology Center, Executive Chef Sebastiano Zangregorio of Lotte Hotel & Resort Seoul introduced authentic Italian cuisine. Participants followed his guidance, prepared dishes themselves, and shared the finished meals while creating lasting memories.

와인과 치즈로 만나는 이탈리아의 깊은 풍미

Discovering Italy Through Wine and Cheese

세계주류마켓에서 열린 와인클래스에서는 참가자들이 전문가의 설명을 들으며 이탈리아 와인의 역사와 특징을 배웠다. 품종과 생산 지역에 대한 질문이 이어졌고, 시민들은 메모를 하며 높은 관심을 보였다.

At the World Liquor Market, attendees learned about the history and characteristics of Italian wines from experts. Visitors actively took notes and asked questions about grape varieties and wine-producing regions.

특히 이날 와인클래스에는 육동한 춘천시장도 참석해 시민들과 함께 프로그램을 체험하며 축제 분위기를 즐겼다.

Notably, Chuncheon Mayor Yuk Dong-han joined the wine class, participating alongside citizens and sharing in the festive atmosphere.

이어 열린 치즈클래스에서는 다양한 이탈리아 치즈를 직접 맛보며 그 역사와 문화를 배우는 시간이 마련됐다.

The evening cheese class provided participants with an opportunity to taste a variety of Italian cheeses while learning about their history and cultural significance.

인문학과 영화로 만나는 이탈리아

Exploring Italy Through Humanities and Film

tvN 예능 프로그램 「벌거벗은 세계사」에 출연한 구지훈 교수의 인문학 특강은 많은 관심을 받았다. 참가자들은 ‘이탈리아 중세 도시의 광장과 분수’를 주제로 한 강연에 몰입하며 유럽 도시문화의 역사적 의미를 되새겼다.

A humanities lecture by Professor Gu Ji-hoon, known for appearing on tvN’s “Naked World History,” attracted significant attention. The lecture explored plazas and fountains in medieval Italian cities, offering insights into the historical significance of European urban culture.

춘천시립도서관에서 진행된 영화 상영회 역시 가족 단위 관람객들의 호응을 얻었다. 상영 후에는 작품에 대한 감상을 나누는 대화가 이어지며 문화적 공감의 장을 만들었다.

Meanwhile, a film screening at Chuncheon Public Library drew families and local residents. Discussions following the screening allowed participants to share reflections and deepen their cultural appreciation.

시민이 직접 참여하는 국제문화축제

세계주류마켓 야외 행사장에서 열린 이탈리아 마켓에는 시민들의 발길이 끊이지 않았다. 이탈리아 식재료와 춘천 지역 특산품이 함께 전시되며 방문객들은 시식과 체험을 통해 축제를 즐겼다.

The Italian Market, held at the outdoor venue of the World Liquor Market, attracted a steady stream of visitors. Italian ingredients and Chuncheon specialty products were displayed together, allowing guests to enjoy tastings and interactive experiences.

이번 축제는 단순한 관람형 행사가 아닌 시민 참여형 국제문화축제로 운영되며 큰 호응을 얻고 있다. 시민들은 음식과 예술, 인문학을 통해 세계 문화를 가까이에서 경험하며 새로운 문화적 감동을 나누고 있다.

Rather than being a passive viewing event, the festival emphasizes active participation, enabling citizens to engage directly with global culture through food, art, and humanities.

One visitor commented, “It was wonderful to experience Italy through food, films, and humanities. The variety of family-friendly programs made the festival especially meaningful.”

춘천시 관계자는 “챠오! 이탈리아는 시민들이 일상 속에서 세계 문화를 가까이 접할 수 있는 시민 참여형 국제문화축제”라며 “남은 일정도 안전하게 운영해 성공적으로 마무리할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

A city official stated, “Ciao! Italia is a participatory international cultural festival that allows citizens to experience world cultures in their daily lives. We will continue to ensure the remaining events are operated safely and successfully.”
