동해시, 모범운전자회 교통지도용 차량 전달식 개최

Donghae City Holds Vehicle Handover Ceremony for Traffic Guidance Operations

동해시가 지역 교통질서 확립과 안전한 교통환경 조성에 기여하고 있는 사단법인 동해모범운전자회의 현장 대응력 강화를 위해 교통지도용 차량 1대를 지원했다.

동해시는 6월 10일 오전 10시 시청 현관 앞에서 심규언 동해시장, 서경민 동해경찰서장, 박성일 동해모범운전자회장 등 관계자 10여 명이 참석한 가운데 교통지도용 차량 전달식을 개최했다.

이번 차량 지원은 기존 차량이 10년 이상 경과해 노후화됨에 따라 보다 안전하고 효율적인 교통지도 활동을 지원하기 위해 추진됐다.

차량 교체에는 총사업비 5천만 원(도비 50%, 시비 50%)이 투입됐으며, 동해시의 탄소중립 정책에 발맞춰 친환경 전기차로 지원됐다.

새로 지원된 차량은 주요 도로 교통정리를 비롯해 지역 축제, 각종 행사, 공사 현장 등 교통통제가 필요한 현장에서 활용될 예정이다.

#박성일 동해모범운전자회장은 “노후 차량으로 현장 활동에 어려움이 있었는데 새 차량이 지원돼 보다 안전하고 신속한 교통지도가 가능해졌다”며 감사의 뜻을 전했다.

#남태길 교통과장은 “시민 안전을 위해 현장에서 교통지도 활동에 힘쓰고 있는 모범운전자회 회원들에게 감사드린다”며 “이번 차량 지원이 보다 효율적인 교통안전 활동에 도움이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

Donghae City Provides New Traffic Guidance Vehicle to Exemplary Drivers Association

Donghae City has provided a new traffic guidance vehicle to the Donghae Exemplary Drivers Association to enhance its field response capabilities and support safer traffic management throughout the community.

A vehicle handover ceremony was held at 10:00 a.m. on June 10 in front of Donghae City Hall. Approximately ten officials attended the event, including Mayor Shim Gyu-eon, Donghae Police Chief Seo Gyeong-min, and Association President Park Seong-il.

The support project was initiated to replace the association’s existing vehicle, which had been in service for more than ten years and had become increasingly outdated.

A total budget of KRW 50 million was invested in the replacement project, funded equally by the province and the city. In line with Donghae City's carbon-neutral policy, the new vehicle is an eco-friendly electric vehicle.

The vehicle will be used for traffic control and management on major roads, as well as at local festivals, public events, construction sites, and other locations where traffic regulation is required.

Association President Park Seong-il expressed his appreciation, saying, “The aging vehicle made field operations increasingly difficult. With this new vehicle, we will be able to provide safer and more efficient traffic guidance services.”

We hope this new vehicle will contribute to even more effective traffic safety activities throughout the city.”
