동해시, 서울 관광업계와 손잡고 관광객 유치 나선다

7월, 여행업계 관계자 초청 팸투어 추진 예정

Familiarization Tour for Travel Industry Representatives Scheduled for July

동해문화관광재단은 6월 9일 서울관광플라자에서 서울권 여행업계 관계자 70여 명을 대상으로 관광홍보설명회를 개최했다.

The Donghae Culture and Tourism Foundation held a tourism promotion briefing session on June 9 at the Seoul Tourism Plaza, attended by approximately 70 representatives from travel agencies and tourism businesses in the Seoul metropolitan area.

이번 설명회는 동해시 특화 관광상품 개발과 단체관광객 유치 활성화를 위해 마련됐으며, 재단은 묵호권역 관광명소와 무릉계곡, 백두대간 동해소금길 등 지역 대표 관광자원을 소개했다.

The event was organized to encourage the development of specialized tourism products and attract more group travelers to Donghae City. During the presentation, the Foundation introduced key attractions including the Mukho tourism district, Mureung Valley, and the Donghae Salt Trail along the Baekdudaegan Mountain Range.

특히 오는 6월 13일부터 21일까지 개최되는 무릉별유천지 라벤더축제를 집중 홍보하고, 축제와 지역 관광자원을 연계한 관광상품 개발을 적극 제안했다.

Special attention was given to promoting the Mureung Byeollyucheonji Lavender Festival, which will be held from June 13 to 21. The Foundation actively proposed tourism packages that combine the festival with Donghae City's diverse tourism resources.

재단은 설명회에 이어 7월 중 여행업계 관계자를 초청한 팸투어를 추진해 관광상품 개발과 관광객 유치로 연계해 나갈 계획이다.

Following the briefing session, the Foundation plans to host a familiarization (FAM) tour for travel industry representatives in July, aiming to further develop tourism products and attract more visitors to the city.

#정연수 대표이사는 “라벤더축제를 비롯한 동해시의 우수한 관광자원과 특색 있는 콘텐츠를 서울권 여행업계에 알리는 뜻깊은 자리였다”며 “앞으로도 여행업계와 협력을 강화해 관광객 유치 확대에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

Foundation CEO Jeong Yeon-su stated, “This was a meaningful opportunity to introduce Donghae City's outstanding tourism resources and unique attractions, including the Lavender Festival, to Seoul-based travel industry professionals. We will continue strengthening cooperation with the travel industry to attract more visitors to Donghae.”
