박정인 신임 동해지방해양수산청장 취임

“동해신항 개발과 환동해 물류허브 구축에 역량 집중”

동해지방해양수산청 제41대 청장으로 박정인 신임 청장이 5월 31일 공식 취임한다.

박 청장은 강원도 춘천 출신으로 1988년 춘천유봉여자고등학교를 졸업하고, 1992년 강원대학교 무역학과를 졸업했다. 같은 해 국립수산물품질검사원에서 공직 생활을 시작하며 해양수산 분야와 인연을 맺었다.

이후 해양수산부 수산정책과를 비롯해 해양생태과, 유통정책과, 자원관리과, 수산자원정책과 등 주요 부서를 두루 거치며 수산정책과 해양환경 분야의 전문성을 쌓아왔다.

또한 농림수산식품부 식품정책과와 식품산업진흥과에서 근무하며 식품산업 정책 경험을 축적했으며, 최근에는 국립수산과학원 연구협력과장과 부산지방해양수산청 해양수산환경과장, 운영지원과장을 역임하는 등 현장과 행정을 아우르는 폭넓은 경력을 쌓았다.

#박정인 청장은 취임사를 통해 “동해항이 환동해권 물류 중심 항만으로 도약할 수 있도록 동해신항 개발사업 추진에 모든 역량을 집중하겠다”고 밝혔다.

이어 “국민의 생명과 재산을 보호하기 위한 연안정비사업과 국가어항 개발사업을 적극 추진하고, 지역사회와 긴밀히 소통하며 강원권 해양산업의 미래 성장 기반을 구축해 나가겠다”고 강조했다.

지역 해양수산계에서는 풍부한 정책 경험과 현장 이해를 겸비한 박 청장의 부임이 동해신항 개발과 강원 동해안 해양산업 활성화에 새로운 동력이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.

“Focusing on Donghae New Port Development and Building an East Sea Logistics Hub”

Park Jeong-in officially assumes office on May 31 as the 41st Commissioner of the Donghae Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries.

A native of Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, Commissioner Park graduated from Chuncheon Yubong Girls’ High School in 1988 and earned a degree in International Trade from Kangwon National University in 1992.

She began her public service career in the same year at the National Fisheries Products Quality Inspection Service, marking the start of more than three decades of experience in maritime and fisheries administration.

Throughout her career, Park has served in various key divisions of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, including the Fisheries Policy Division, Marine Ecology Division, Distribution Policy Division, Resource Management Division, and Fisheries Resource Policy Division, building extensive expertise in fisheries policy and marine environmental management.

She also worked in the Food Policy Division and Food Industry Promotion Division under the Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, broadening her experience in food industry policy.

Most recently, she served as Director of Research Cooperation at the National Institute of Fisheries Science, Director of Marine Environment Affairs at the Busan Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries, and Director of Operations Support, gaining substantial experience in both policy planning and field administration.

In her inaugural remarks, Commissioner Park stated, “We will devote all available resources to advancing the Donghae New Port development project so that Donghae Port can emerge as a major logistics hub for the East Sea region.”

She added, “We will actively pursue national fishing port development projects and coastal maintenance initiatives to enhance public safety, while maintaining close communication with local communities and laying the foundation for the future growth of the marine industry across Gangwon Province.”

Local maritime and fisheries stakeholders expect that Park’s extensive policy background and field experience will provide strong momentum for the development of Donghae New Port and the revitalization of the East Coast marine economy.
