[김기하의 약속]“첫 투표, 동해의 미래를 바꾼다”

국민의힘 김기하 동해시장 후보가 처음 투표에 참여하는 18~19세 청년 유권자들을 위한 맞춤형 공약을 발표했다.

People Power Party mayoral candidate Kim Gi-ha announced a new set of youth-focused pledges aimed at 18–19-year-old first-time voters.

김 후보는

“청년이 떠나는 도시가 아니라, 청년이 다시 돌아오는 동해를 만들겠다”고 강조했다.

Kim stated,

“We will build a Donghae where young people don’t leave, but choose to return and stay.”

이번 공약은 청년들이 실제로 가장 많이 고민하는

교통, 취업, 문화, 공부 환경 문제 해결에 초점을 맞췄다.

The pledges focus on the issues young people care about most in real life — transportation, jobs, culture, and better study environments.

특히 김 후보는

“청년 첫출발 지원사업”을 통해

운전면허 취득비, 자격증 시험 응시료, 취업 준비 비용, 면접 교통비 등을 지원하겠다고 밝혔다.

A key pledge is the “Youth First Start Support Program,” which would help cover costs for driver’s licenses, certification exams, job preparation, and transportation for interviews.

또한 시내버스 할인 확대와 함께

KTX 이용 청년 교통 지원 정책도 추진할 계획이다.

He also plans to expand bus discounts and provide KTX transportation support for young residents.

청년들이 지역에서도 꿈을 키울 수 있도록

공공 스터디카페 확대,

청년 문화공간 조성,

공연·버스킹·e스포츠 활동 지원,

지역기업 연계 인턴제 운영 등도 단계적으로 추진한다.

특히 눈길을 끄는 부분은

“청년참여예산제”다.

청년들이 직접 정책을 제안하고 예산 편성 과정에도 참여할 수 있도록 하겠다는 구상이다.

One of the most eye-catching proposals is the “Youth Participatory Budget System,” allowing young citizens to directly suggest policies and participate in budget planning.

김 후보는

“처음 투표하는 청년들의 한 표가 동해의 미래를 결정한다”며,

“청년들이 지역을 떠날 수밖에 없는 현실을 반드시 바꾸겠다”고 말했다.

Kim emphasized,

“The votes of first-time young voters will shape Donghae’s future,” adding,

“We will change the reality that forces young people to leave the region.”

이번 공약은 거대한 개발사업보다

청년들이 바로 체감할 수 있는 현실형 생활정책 중심이라는 점에서 관심을 끌고 있다.

Rather than focusing on massive development projects, the pledges are drawing attention for targeting practical, everyday issues young people can immediately relate to.

후보 측은 앞으로 학교 앞 유세와 SNS 카드뉴스 등을 통해

MZ세대와의 소통을 더욱 강화할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

The campaign also announced plans to strengthen communication with Gen Z and MZ voters through school campaigns and social media card news content.
