“하늘과 바다를 품은 미래교육”… 강원도립대, 해양항공드론교육원 공식 개원

강원도립대학교(총장 최종균)는 5월 14일 오후 2시, 대학 내 해양항공드론교육원에서 ‘해양항공드론교육원 개원식’을 개최했다.

강원도립대학교 held the opening ceremony for its Marine & Aviation Drone Education Center at 2 p.m. on May 14 on the university campus.

○ 이날 행사에는 강릉시의회 의장, 강원대학교 강릉캠퍼스 총장, 동해지방해양경찰청 관계자, 주문진읍장, 지역 유관기관 관계자, 교직원 및 재학생 등 50여 명이 참석했다. 행사에서는 축사와 현판 제막식, 시설 관람, 드론 시연 등이 진행됐다.

○ About 50 guests attended the ceremony, including the Chairperson of the Gangneung City Council, the President of Kangwon National University’s Gangneung Campus, officials from the Donghae Regional Coast Guard, the Mayor of Jumunjin-eup, representatives of local institutions, faculty members, and students. The event featured congratulatory speeches, a plaque unveiling ceremony, facility tours, and drone demonstrations.

해양항공드론교육원은 한국교통안전공단으로부터 초경량비행장치 사용사업 교육기관(사설교육기관)으로 지정받아 운영되며, 재학생과 지역 유관기관 종사자 등을 대상으로 드론 국가자격증 취득 교육과 실무 중심 전문교육을 제공할 예정이다.

 The Marine & Aviation Drone Education Center has been officially designated by the Korea Transportation Safety Authority as a certified training institution for ultralight aircraft operations. The center will provide drone national certification courses and hands-on professional training programs for students and local industry personnel.

○ 특히 해양·항공 분야와 드론 기술을 융합한 특화 교육체계를 구축해 미래 신산업 분야 전문인력을 양성하고, 지역 산업과 연계한 산학협력 확대 및 지역 정주형 인재 육성에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

○ In particular, the center is expected to establish a specialized education system combining marine, aviation, and drone technologies to cultivate experts for future industries. It also aims to strengthen industry-academic cooperation linked to regional industries and foster locally rooted talent.

#최종균 강원도립대학교 총장은 “해양항공드론교육원은 미래 드론 산업을 선도할 핵심 전문인력을 양성하는 교육 거점이 될 것”이라며 “지역사회와 산업체가 함께 성장할 수 있도록 실무 중심 교육과 산학협력을 지속 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

 President Choi Jong-gyun of 강원도립대학교 stated, “The Marine & Aviation Drone Education Center will become a key educational hub for cultivating professionals who will lead the future drone industry. We will continue expanding practical education and industry-academic cooperation so that local communities and industries can grow together.”

한편, 강원도립대학교는 미래 산업 수요에 대응하기 위해 해양·항공·드론 분야 융합교육을 강화하고 있으며, 지역 기반 특화 인재 양성체계를 지속적으로 구축해 나갈 계획이다.

 Meanwhile, 강원도립대학교 plans to continue strengthening convergence education in marine, aviation, and drone sectors to meet future industrial demands while building a region-based talent development system.
