강원특별자치도 폐광지역지원과, 경포호 일원서 ‘플로깅’ 및 춘계 부서 체육행사 실시

강원특별자치도 폐광지역지원과는 직원 간 소통과 건강 증진은 물론, 가정의 달을 맞아 깨끗한 관광환경 조성을 위해 5월 15일(금) 경포호 일원에서 부서 체육행사와 연계한 ‘플로깅(plogging)’ 활동을 실시했다.

※ 플로깅(plogging) : 달리기를 하며 쓰레기를 줍는 환경정화 활동

The Gangwon State Mining Area Support Division conducted a “plogging” activity on Friday, May 15, around Gyeongpo Lake in connection with its spring departmental sports event. The event aimed to promote communication and health among employees while contributing to a cleaner tourism environment during Family Month.

※ Plogging: An environmental cleanup activity that combines jogging or walking with picking up litter.

 이번 행사는 단순한 체육활동을 넘어 환경보호와 봉사의 가치를 함께 실천하기 위해 마련됐으며, 참가 직원들은 경포해변과 주변 산책로를 걸으며 방치된 쓰레기를 수거하는 환경정화 활동을 펼쳤다.

 The event went beyond a simple sports activity and was designed to put environmental protection and volunteerism into practice. Participating employees walked along Gyeongpo Beach and nearby trails, collecting litter and carrying out environmental cleanup activities.

특히 경포는 많은 관광객이 찾는 강원의 대표 관광지인 만큼, 직원들이 직접 지역 환경보전에 참여해 깨끗하고 쾌적한 관광환경 조성에 힘을 보탰다는 점에서 의미를 더했다.

 In particular, Gyeongpo is one of Gangwon’s 대표 tourist destinations visited by countless travelers each year. The event was especially meaningful as employees personally participated in preserving the local environment and helping create a cleaner and more pleasant tourism atmosphere.

최근 일상 속 친환경 실천과 탄소중립에 대한 관심이 높아지는 가운데, 이번 플로깅 행사는 건강 증진과 환경정화 활동을 함께 실천하는 뜻깊은 시간이 됐다.

 Amid growing public interest in eco-friendly lifestyles and carbon neutrality, the plogging event served as a meaningful opportunity to promote both personal health and environmental stewardship.

#백건기 강원특별자치도 폐광지역지원과장은 “플로깅은 건강을 위한 걷기 활동에 환경정화의 의미를 더한 뜻깊은 봉사활동”이라며 “앞으로도 지역과 함께하는 다양한 사회공헌 활동과 친환경 실천을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
