망상오토캠핑리조트 Draws Attention with AI-, Insect-, and Microbe-Based Food Waste Processing System

동해시시설관리공단이 운영하는 망상오토캠핑리조트가 이용객 편의 증진과 친환경 자원순환 체계 구축을 위해 AI 기반 음식물 자동 처리시스템을 시범 운영한다.

동해시시설관리공단 is launching a pilot operation of an AI-based automatic food waste processing system at 망상오토캠핑리조트 to enhance visitor convenience and establish an eco-friendly resource circulation system.

공단은 지난 1월 동해시 창업보육센터 입주기업인 ㈜제이엔지와 업무협약을 체결하고 시스템 설치를 추진해왔다. 이번 시스템은 AI 기반 바이오 처리기술을 활용해 음식물류 폐기물을 현장에서 직접 처리하는 방식으로, 곤충과 미생물을 활용한 친환경 기술이 적용됐다.

 In January, the corporation signed a business agreement with JNG Co., Ltd., a resident company at the Donghae Startup Incubation Center, to 추진 the installation of the system. The newly introduced technology uses AI-based bio-processing methods to directly handle food waste on-site, incorporating eco-friendly technologies utilizing insects and microorganisms.

특히 음식물을 분해·섭취한 뒤 발생하는 부산물은 사료 및 거름 등으로 활용할 수 있어 자원순환 효과도 기대된다.

 In particular, byproducts generated after insects and microorganisms decompose and consume food waste can be reused as animal feed and compost, contributing to a sustainable resource circulation system.

또한 IoT 기반 원격관리 시스템을 통해 실시간 운영상태 확인과 유지관리가 가능하며, 하루 100kg 미만의 음식물류 폐기물을 처리할 수 있어 리조트 내 폐기물 처리 효율 향상에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

 In addition, the IoT-based remote management system enables real-time monitoring and maintenance, while processing less than 100 kilograms of food waste per day, improving waste management efficiency within the resort.

해당 시스템은 리조트 내 커뮤니티하우스 1층 필로티 인근에 설치되었으며, 지난 5월 10일부터 시범 운영을 시작했다. 공단은 시범 운영 기간 동안 이용객 의견 수렴과 운영 점검을 통해 시스템을 지속적으로 보완하고 안정적인 운영 체계를 구축해 나갈 계획이다.

 The system has been installed near the first-floor pilotis area of the resort’s Community House and officially began pilot operations on May 10. During the pilot period, the corporation plans to collect visitor feedback and conduct operational inspections to further improve the system and establish a stable operating framework.
