“관아가 빵으로 폭발한다!” 강릉, 전국 미식 관광객 사로잡는 ‘빵 페스타’ 개막

문화체육관광부, 강원특별자치도, 강릉시가 주최하고 강릉문화재단이 주관하는 『2026 빵터지는 강릉 빵 페스타』가 오는 22일(금)부터 25일(월)까지 4일간 강릉대도호부관아 일원에서 개최된다. 행사는 매일 오전 11시부터 오후 8시까지 진행된다.

Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Gangwon State, and the City of Gangneung, and organized by the Gangneung Cultural Foundation, the “2026 Gangneung Bread Festa” will take place for four days from Friday the 22nd to Monday the 25th at the historic Gangneung Daedohobu Government Office. The festival will run daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

이번 행사는 빵과 디저트 문화를 주제로 강릉을 대표하는 지역 상점과 시민, 방문객이 함께 즐길 수 있는 축제로, 미식문화 브랜드 강화와 지역경제 활성화를 도모하기 위해 마련됐다. 특히 올해는 단순한 미식 축제를 넘어 행사장을 찾는 발길이 강릉 전역의 상권 활성화로 이어질 수 있도록 다양한 프로그램을 운영할 계획이다.

 This festival is designed as a citywide celebration of bread and dessert culture, bringing together Gangneung’s signature bakeries, residents, and visitors. It aims to strengthen the city’s gourmet tourism brand while revitalizing the local economy. This year, organizers plan to go beyond a simple food festival by connecting festival visitors with commercial districts throughout the city through various interactive programs.

먼저 빵 마켓존에서는 강릉을 대표하는 50여 개의 유명 제과점과 숨은 동네 빵집들이 참여해 갓 구운 베이커리와 커피, 음료 등을 선보인다. 방문객들은 강릉의 다양한 빵 문화를 한자리에서 즐길 수 있으며, 지역 제과업체는 제품 홍보와 판매 확대의 기회를 갖게 된다.

 At the Bread Market Zone, more than 50 famous bakeries and hidden neighborhood bread shops from Gangneung will showcase freshly baked pastries, coffee, and beverages. Visitors will be able to experience Gangneung’s diverse bread culture in one place, while local bakery businesses gain opportunities for promotion and increased sales.

행사장 내 특설무대에서는 특별 프로그램으로 강릉 지역 파티쉐들의 자신만의 비법과 특산물을 담아낸 빵 터지는 베이킹쇼를 운영하며, 체험존에서는 ‘나만의 빵 꾸미기’, ‘과자 꼴라쥬’ 등 다채롭고 이색적인 체험프로그램도 마련해 방문객들에게 볼거리와 즐길 거리를 제공할 예정이다.

 On the festival’s special stage, local pastry chefs will present exciting baking shows featuring their unique techniques and regional ingredients. Interactive experience zones will also offer hands-on activities such as “Decorate Your Own Bread” and “Cookie Collage,” providing visitors with both entertainment and memorable experiences.

아울러 추억의 운동회 컨셉으로 가족, 연인, 친구 단위 방문객이 다 함께 뛰어놀 수 있는 체험 프로그램이 축제의 또 다른 즐거움을 선사한다. 어릴 적 운동회의 추억을 되살리는 ‘빵 터지는 박 터트리기’, ‘과자 및 도넛 빨리 따먹기’, 행사 장소 대도호부관아 문화재에 숨겨진 ‘보물 찾기’ 등 남녀노소 누구나 함께 참여하고 즐길 수 있는 재미있고 흥 있는 축제 분위기를 만들어갈 예정이다.

 In addition, the festival will feature nostalgic sports-day themed activities where families, couples, and friends can play together. Fun programs such as “Bread-Smashing Pot Game,” “Fast Cookie & Donut Eating Contest,” and a “Treasure Hunt” hidden throughout the historic government office grounds will recreate childhood memories and create a lively atmosphere for visitors of all ages.

■ 강릉 전역 상권과 맞손… 영수증이 ‘빵 빵 터지는 쿠폰으로’

■ Partnering with Businesses Across Gangneung… Receipts Become “Bread Coupons”

가장 눈길을 끄는 것은 지역 상권과의 상생을 위한 ‘영수증 이벤트’이다. 축제 기간 중 행사장 방문 당일 강릉시 관내 어디서든 5만 원 이상 결제한 영수증을 지참하면 축제장 내 부스에서 쓸 수 있는 ‘빵 교환권’을 선착순 지급하는 영수증 이벤트도 진행한다. 이를 통해 방문객들이 강릉 도심 곳곳에서 소비하도록 유도하는 선순환 구조를 만든다.

 One of the festival’s most notable programs is the “Receipt Event,” designed to support local businesses. During the festival, visitors who spend more than 50,000 KRW anywhere in Gangneung on the same day and present their receipt will receive bread exchange coupons on a first-come, first-served basis for use at festival booths. The program aims to encourage spending throughout the city and create a positive cycle for the local economy.

축제장 빵마켓존 내 소비를 촉진하기 위해 매일 오후 3시와 7시에 경품 추첨이 열린다. 당일 행사장에서 빵을 구매한 영수증 뒷면에 이름과 연락처를 적어 응모하면 추첨을 통해 경품을 증정해 관람객들의 체류 시간을 연장할 계획이다.

 To encourage spending at the Bread Market Zone, prize drawings will be held daily at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Visitors can write their name and contact information on the back of bread purchase receipts and enter for a chance to win various prizes, helping extend visitor stay time at the festival.

■ 강릉의 중요 문화재 돌아보기, 이색 포토존까지

국보와 국가 중요 보물이 함께하는 행사 장소의 역사적 특성을 살린 ‘낱말 퍼즐’과 ‘보물 찾기’ 프로그램 운영으로 방문객들은 축제를 즐기면서 강릉대도호부관아의 역사와 문화를 자연스럽게 체험할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 또한 ‘재미있는 포토존’을 만들어 방문객들에게 또 다른 즐거움을 선사할 계획이다.

 Through heritage-themed programs such as “Word Puzzles” and “Treasure Hunts,” visitors will naturally experience the history and culture of the Gangneung Daedohobu Government Office while enjoying the festival. Unique and entertaining photo zones will also be installed to provide additional fun for attendees.

강릉문화재단 관계자는 “이번 『빵터지는 강릉 빵 페스타』는 전통 문화유산인 관아 공간을 현대적 미식 축제의 장으로 재해석한 뜻깊은 행사”라며, “다채로운 빵 마켓과 문화 체험은 물론, 지역 영수증 이벤트를 통해 강릉 지역 제과업계와 소상공인 모두가 함께 웃을 수 있는 지역경제 활성화의 계기가 될 수 있도록 준비에 최선을 다하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.

 An official from the Gangneung Cultural Foundation stated, “This festival is a meaningful event that reinterprets a traditional cultural heritage site into a modern gourmet festival venue. We are doing our best to ensure that the diverse bread market, cultural experiences, and local receipt event become an opportunity for both Gangneung’s bakery industry and small business owners to thrive together.”

한편, 하반기에는 강릉관광개발공사에서 「제2회 빵 굽는 마을 오죽」행사를 개최할 예정으로, 앞으로 다양한 빵과 디저트 축제가 정례화됨으로써 강릉은 커피축제에 이어 빵축제로 미식관광도시로 거듭날 계획이다.

 Meanwhile, later this year, the Gangneung Tourism Development Corporation plans to host the “2nd Ojuk Bread Village Festival.” With various bread and dessert festivals expected to become regular events, Gangneung aims to establish itself not only as a coffee festival city but also as a premier gourmet tourism destination known for bread and desserts.
