“동해시, ‘위생·친절’ 총력전 돌입…양대 체전 앞두고 도시 이미지 판가름”

 동해시가 양대 체전을 앞두고 ‘위생·친절’ 전면전에 돌입했다.

1,600여 개 업소를 대상으로 한 전방위 점검과 비상 대응체계까지 가동된다.

이번 체전은 단순한 스포츠 행사를 넘어 ‘동해시 브랜드’를 결정짓는 시험대가 될 전망이다.

동해시는 오는 5월과 6월 개최되는 ‘제19회 강원특별자치도장애인생활체육대회’와 ‘제61회 강원특별자치도민체전’의 성공적인 개최를 위해 식품·공중위생업소의 위생수준 향상과 친절서비스 확립에 행정력을 집중하고 있다고 밝혔다.

Donghae City announced that it is fully mobilizing administrative efforts to enhance hygiene standards and hospitality services in food and public sanitation businesses in preparation for the upcoming 19th Gangwon State Sports Festival for the Disabled and the 61st Gangwon Provincial Sports Festival to be held in May and June.

시는 ‘별유천지 동해에서 도약하는 강원의 힘!’이라는 슬로건 아래 선수단과 방문객이 안심하고 이용할 수 있는 환경을 조성하기 위해 ‘위생 및 친절관리 종합계획’을 수립하고 본격 추진에 나섰다.

Under the slogan “The Power of Gangwon Rising in Donghae, the Land of Heavenly Scenic Beauty,” the city has established and is actively implementing a comprehensive hygiene and hospitality management plan to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for athletes and visitors.

① 역량강화 교육·환경개선으로 기초체력 강화

① Strengthening Fundamentals through Capacity Building and Facility Improvements

시는 지난 2월 소비자식품위생감시원 16명을 대상으로 직무 및 친절 교육을 실시해 현장 점검 역량을 강화했으며, 이들이 영업주들에게 친절 응대 요령을 전파하는 ‘친절 전도사’ 역할을 수행하도록 하고 있다.

In February, the city provided job training and hospitality education to 16 consumer food sanitation monitors, strengthening their on-site inspection capabilities and enabling them to act as “hospitality ambassadors” who guide business owners on customer service practices.

또한 음식점·숙박업소·미용업소 등 8개소를 선정해 노후 시설 환경개선 사업을 추진 중이며, 5월 내 완료할 계획이다.

Additionally, eight establishments—including restaurants, lodging facilities, and beauty businesses—have been selected for facility improvement projects, which are scheduled for completion by May.

② 촘촘한 현장 점검…“위생 사각지대 없앤다”

② Intensive On-site Inspections to Eliminate Hygiene Blind Spots

시는 지난 3월부터 식품 및 공중위생업소에 대한 1차 집중점검을 완료했으며, 기차역 주변 접객업소 204개소에 대해 위생 및 친절 점검을 실시했다.

Since March, the city has completed its first round of intensive inspections targeting food and public sanitation businesses, including hygiene and service checks at 204 hospitality establishments near train stations.

또한 숙박업소 145개소를 대상으로 요금표 게시 여부, 침구류 위생 상태, 개정 법령에 따른 ‘피난행동요령 사전고지제도’ 준수 여부 등을 점검해 안전사고 예방에 힘썼다.

A total of 145 lodging facilities were also inspected for compliance with price display requirements, bedding hygiene standards, and the pre-notification system for evacuation procedures under revised regulations.

아울러 4월 28일까지 일반음식점 1,281개소를 대상으로 개인위생, 조리장 관리, 친절서비스 이행 여부 등을 점검하고 있으며, 장애인체전을 대비해 장애인편의시설 현황조사도 병행 추진하고 있다.

By April 28, inspections are underway for 1,281 general restaurants focusing on personal hygiene, kitchen sanitation, and service quality. Simultaneously, surveys of accessibility facilities—such as ramps, accessible restrooms, and step-free entrances—are being conducted in preparation for the sports festival for the disabled.

③ ‘신속대응반’ 운영…무결점 체전 준비

③ Rapid Response Team in Operation for Flawless Event Readiness

시는 대회 기간인 5월 18일부터 6월 16일까지 위생관리 비상체제에 돌입해 예방관리과장을 총괄로 한 ‘신속대응반’을 운영할 계획이다.

During the event period from May 18 to June 16, the city will activate an emergency hygiene management system and operate a rapid response team led by the head of the Prevention Management Division.

이를 통해 식품·공중위생업소 관련 민원과 식중독 등 위생사고에 대해 즉각 대응하고, 감염병 대응 부서와 협력해 안전한 행사 운영을 뒷받침할 방침이다.

The team will respond swiftly to complaints and hygiene-related incidents, including food poisoning, while working closely with infectious disease response departments to ensure safe event operations.

#심재희 보건소장은 “이번 양대 체전은 동해시의 우수한 관광 인프라와 성숙한 시민의식을 널리 알릴 수 있는 중요한 기회”라며 “남은 기간 동안 영업주들과 긴밀히 협력해 다시 찾고 싶은 위생·친절 도시 동해를 만들겠다”고 말했다.

We will work closely with business owners to create a hygienic and welcoming city that visitors will want to return to.”
