“청년 1명 채용하면 800만 원 지원”… 동해시, 기업 몰린다

동해시는 지역 내 청년 일자리 창출과 고용 안정 강화를 위해 「2026년 청년채움 고용장려금 지원사업」에 참여할 기업을 모집한다고 밝혔다.

Donghae City announced that it is recruiting companies to participate in the “2026 Youth Employment Incentive Program” to promote youth job creation and strengthen employment stability in the region.

이번 사업은 관내 중소기업이 청년을 정규직으로 채용할 경우 인건비를 지원하여 기업의 고용 부담을 완화하고, 청년의 지역 정착을 유도하기 위해 추진된다.

This program aims to ease the financial burden on local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by subsidizing labor costs when they hire young people as full-time employees, while also encouraging youth to settle in the region.

지원 내용은 신규 정규직 근로자 1인당 최대 10개월간 월 80만 원의 인건비를 기업에 지원하며, 참여 청년에게는 월 최대 10만 원의 교통비가 별도로 지급된다.

Under the program, companies will receive up to KRW 800,000 per month for up to 10 months per newly hired full-time employee, while participating youth will receive up to KRW 100,000 per month for transportation expenses.

모집 규모는 총 10명이며, 기업당 최대 3명까지 신청할 수 있다.

The program will support a total of 10 employees, with each company eligible to apply for up to three positions.

신청 대상은 동해시에 주 사무소 또는 영업소를 둔 중소기업으로, 상시근로자 5인 이상, 최근 3년 평균 매출액 1,500억 원 이하 기업이다. 또한 2025년 4월 1일부터 2026년 3월 31일 사이 청년을 정규직으로 신규 채용한 기업이어야 한다.

Eligible applicants are SMEs with their main office or business site in Donghae City, employing at least five full-time workers and having an average annual revenue of less than KRW 150 billion over the past three years. They must have newly hired young employees as full-time workers between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026.

단, 유흥업 등 일부 업종과 공공기관, 휴·폐업 기업, 임금 체불 사업주 등은 참여가 제한된다.

However, certain industries such as entertainment businesses, as well as public institutions, suspended or closed businesses, and employers with unpaid wages, are excluded from participation.

신청 기간은 3월 30일부터 4월 22일까지이며, 동해시청 경제과 청년지원팀에 방문 신청하면 된다.

Applications will be accepted from March 30 to April 22 and must be submitted in person to the Youth Support Team of the Economic Affairs Division at Donghae City Hall.

한편, 지난해에는 7개 기업에서 11명의 청년이 지원을 받았으며, 사업 종료 후 3년 이상 고용 유지 조건을 통해 청년 근로자의 장기 근속 유도와 고용 안정 기반 마련에도 긍정적인 효과를 거둔 바 있다.

Last year, 11 young employees from seven companies benefited from the program, which also contributed to long-term employment retention and job stability through a requirement to maintain employment for more than three years after the program ends.

#임성빈 경제과장은 “이번 사업을 통해 기업의 인건비 부담을 완화하고 청년의 안정적인 고용을 확대할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 지역 청년이 안정적으로 정착할 수 있는 양질의 일자리 창출을 위해 지속적으로 지원해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
