동해시, 예비부모 건강교실 3기 확대 운영…임산부 요가·분만교육 지원

동해시는 임산부의 건강한 임신과 행복한 출산을 지원하기 위해 운영 중인 ‘행복한 예비부모 건강교실’을 올해부터 기존 2기에서 3기로 확대 운영한다고 밝혔다.

The City of Donghae announced that it will expand its “Happy Expectant Parents Health Class”—a program designed to support healthy pregnancies and joyful childbirth—from two sessions to three sessions starting this year.

이번 확대 운영은 임산부들의 교육 수요를 반영한 것으로, 더 많은 예비부모들이 프로그램 혜택을 받을 수 있도록 교육 횟수를 늘린 것이 특징이다.

The expansion reflects growing demand from pregnant women, increasing the number of sessions so that more expectant parents can benefit from the program.

교육은 1기(4월), 2기(6월), 3기(10월) 총 3차례 운영되며, 각 기수는 주 2회, 총 8회 과정으로 진행된다. 교육 장소는 북삼건강생활지원센터와 동해요리학원이다.

The program will be offered three times a year—in April, June, and October—with each session consisting of eight classes held twice a week. Classes will take place at the Buksam Health Living Support Center and Donghae Cooking Academy.

교육 대상은 보건소에 등록된 임신 16주부터 26주 사이의 예비 부모 20명이며, 신청은 기수별 일정에 따라 전화 선착순 접수로 진행된다.

The program targets 20 expectant parents registered at the public health center who are between 16 and 26 weeks pregnant. Registration will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis by phone according to each session’s schedule.

교육 내용은 임산부 요가, 분만 과정 이해, 이유식 만들기, 태교 바느질, 산전·산후 우울증 예방 교육 등으로 구성되며, 전문가 특강을 통해 실질적인 출산 준비에 도움을 제공할 예정이다.

The curriculum includes prenatal yoga, understanding the childbirth process, baby food preparation, prenatal sewing for bonding, and education on preventing prenatal and postpartum depression, along with expert-led lectures to help expectant parents prepare for childbirth.

동해시에 따르면 2025년 등록 임산부는 483명이며, 2026년 2월 기준 등록 임산부는 71명으로 집계됐다.

According to the city, 483 pregnant women were registered in 2025, while 71 pregnant women had registered as of February 2026.

#홍종란 보건정책과장은 “집중 교육을 통해 임산부들이 출산에 대한 불안감을 줄이고 건강한 태교 환경을 조성할 수 있도록 내실 있게 운영하겠다”고 말했다.

Hong Jong-ran, head of the Health Policy Division, said,

“Through this intensive program, we aim to reduce anxiety about childbirth and help expectant mothers create a healthy prenatal environment.”
