동해시, 봄꽃 2만 본·사과대추 묘목 4천 주 나눔… 시민과 함께 도시 봄 단장

            Donghae City Welcomes Spring 20,000 Flowers & 4,000 Tree Seedlings Shared with Citizens 

동해시가 봄철을 맞아 도시 곳곳에 생기를 더하기 위한 봄꽃 배부와 시민 나무 나눠주기 행사를 잇따라 추진한다.

Donghae City is launching a series of spring initiatives, distributing flowers and tree seedlings to bring vitality to various parts of the city.

동해시는 매년 40만 본 이상의 계절꽃을 생산해 도로변 화단, 관광지, 시가지 화분 등에 식재하며 도시 경관 개선과 쾌적한 도시환경 조성에 힘쓰고 있다. 또한 봄·여름·가을 연 3회 계절꽃을 배부하며 시민과 함께하는 녹지 조성 활동을 이어가고 있다.

Every year, Donghae City produces more than 400,000 seasonal flowers and plants them along roadsides, in tourist areas, and in urban flower beds to enhance the cityscape and create a pleasant urban environment. The city also distributes seasonal flowers three times a year—spring, summer, and autumn—continuing community-based greening initiatives with citizens.

먼저, 3월 16일과 17일 이틀간 관내 10개 동 행정복지센터를 통해 기관·단체를 대상으로 봄꽃 2만 본을 배부한다.

First, on March 16 and 17, the city will distribute 20,000 spring flowers to organizations and community groups through administrative welfare centers in the city’s ten districts.

이번에 배부되는 꽃은 팬지, 데이지, 가자니아, 금잔화, 꽃양귀비 등 5종으로, 모두 동해시 화목원에서 자체 생산한 꽃이다.

The flowers being distributed include five varieties—pansies, daisies, gazanias, calendulas, and poppies—all cultivated at the Donghae City Horticultural Garden.

각 동에서는 주민과 사회단체, 공공기관 등이 참여해 골목길과 마을 안길 주변 유휴지, 주차장 자투리 공간, 아파트 단지 화단 등 생활권 공간에 꽃을 식재할 예정이다.

Residents, civic groups, and public institutions will take part in planting the flowers in neighborhood spaces such as alleyways, vacant lots, parking corners, and apartment flower beds.

이와 함께 시는 3월 21일 시민을 대상으로 사과대추 등 3종 묘목 4천 주를 나눠주는 ‘나무 나눠주기 행사’를 개최한다.

In addition, on March 21 the city will hold a “Tree Sharing Event,” distributing 4,000 seedlings of three varieties—including apple jujube—to Donghae citizens.

이번 행사는 시민들이 가정과 생활 주변에서 나무를 직접 심고 가꾸며 생활 속 녹지 확대와 환경 보전에 대한 관심을 높이기 위해 마련됐다.

The event is designed to encourage citizens to plant and care for trees in their homes and neighborhoods, expanding green spaces in everyday life and raising awareness of environmental conservation.

#심광진 동해시 녹지과장은 “꽃과 나무 나눔 행사는 시민과 함께 도시를 가꾸는 의미 있는 활동”이라며 “앞으로도 시민 참여를 바탕으로 쾌적하고 아름다운 도시환경 조성에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

Shim Gwang-jin, head of Donghae City’s Greenery Division, said,

“Sharing flowers and trees is a meaningful activity that allows citizens to take part in beautifying the city. We will continue to create a pleasant and beautiful urban environment with active citizen participation.”
