식물과 함께하는 작은 힐링, 동해에서 시작됩니다.

1. 사업 추진 배경

동해시가 시민들의 정서적 안정과 생활 속 녹색문화 확산을 위해 ‘반려식물 기르기 교육’을 처음으로 시민 대상 프로그램으로 확대 운영한다. 교육은 3월부터 4월까지 진행된다.

Donghae City is launching a “Companion Plant Care Program” for citizens for the first time to promote emotional well-being and expand green culture in everyday life. The program will run from March through April.

2. 도시치유농업 프로그램

이번 교육은 도시치유농업 프로그램의 일환으로 마련됐다. 시민들이 반려식물을 기르며 자연과 교감하고 일상 속에서 심리적 안정과 여유를 느낄 수 있도록 돕는 것이 목적이다.

The program is part of the city’s urban healing agriculture initiative. It aims to help residents connect with nature through companion plants and experience psychological stability and relaxation in daily life.

3. 지난해 성과와 확대 운영

동해시는 지난해 공무원과 시의원 등을 대상으로 반려식물 기르기 교육을 총 11회 운영해 302명이 참여하는 성과를 거뒀다. 높은 호응에 힘입어 올해는 교육 대상을 시민까지 확대해 운영한다.

Last year, Donghae City conducted 11 sessions of companion plant education for public officials and city council members, attracting 302 participants. Encouraged by the strong response, the program has been expanded this year to include the general public.

4. 교육 규모와 운영 방식

교육은 동해시민을 대상으로 회차별 20명씩 총 15회 운영되며, 약 300명이 참여할 수 있다. 참가자들은 식물에 대한 기본 이해부터 실내 식물 관리 방법까지 체계적인 교육을 받을 예정이다.

The program will be held in 15 sessions with 20 participants per session, allowing approximately 300 Donghae residents to take part. Participants will learn from basic plant knowledge to practical indoor plant care techniques.

5. 이론과 실습 병행 교육

교육 내용은 ▲식물의 이해 ▲실내식물 기르기 ▲반려식물 관리 방법 등으로 구성된다. 특히 실습 시간에는 참가자들이 직접 반려식물 1개를 만들어 가져갈 수 있어 식물을 키우는 즐거움을 체험할 수 있다.

The curriculum includes understanding plants, growing indoor plants, and learning companion plant care methods. During the hands-on session, each participant will create and take home their own companion plant, experiencing the joy of nurturing plants.

6. 전문 강사진

강의는 동해시농업기술센터 농촌자원팀장 원상원 씨가 맡는다. 원 팀장은 도시농업관리사, 원예심리상담사 등 다양한 농업 관련 자격증을 보유하고 있으며, 한국도시농업 전문지도연구회 감사와 동해시농업인대학 교수로 활동하는 등 풍부한 교육 경험을 갖고 있다.

The program will be led by Won Sang-won, Head of the Rural Resources Team at the Donghae Agricultural Technology Center. He holds various certifications including urban agriculture manager and horticultural therapy counselor, and has extensive experience teaching urban agriculture programs.

7. 신청 방법 및 일정

교육 신청은 신청서를 작성해 이메일(kingmar@korea.kr

)로 제출하거나 농업기술센터를 방문해 접수하면 된다. 신청서는 농업기술센터 농촌자원팀에서 받을 수 있으며 홈페이지에서도 다운로드 가능하다.

Applicants can submit the application form via email (kingmar@korea.kr

) or apply in person at the Agricultural Technology Center. Forms are available at the Rural Resources Team office and can also be downloaded from the center’s website.

8. 모집 기간 및 선정 방식

3월 교육은 3월 10일까지, 4월 교육은 3월 24일까지 신청할 수 있다. 모집 인원을 초과할 경우 추첨을 통해 대상자를 선정하고 개별 문자로 안내할 예정이다.

Applications for the March program close on March 10, and applications for the April program close on March 24. If applications exceed available spots, participants will be selected through a lottery and notified by text message.

#박현주 농업기술센터 소장은 “이번 교육이 시민들이 식물을 이해하고 기르는 기술을 배우는 것은 물론, 일상 속에서 마음의 여유와 정서적 안정까지 얻는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

Park Hyun-ju, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, “We hope this program will help citizens learn how to grow plants while also gaining emotional comfort and peace of mind in their daily lives.”
