Gangwon State Promotes Integrity Under the Theme “Fair Starting Line, Standards Kept to the Finish”

강원특별자치도는 3·1절 마라톤 대회 현장에서 「공정한 출발선, 끝까지 지키는 기준」을 주제로 한 청렴 캠페인을 전개했다.

Gangwon State carried out an integrity campaign during the March 1st Marathon under the theme “A Fair Starting Line, Standards Kept to the Finish.”

이번 캠페인은 마라톤 코스 곳곳에 설치된 스토리텔링형 배너와 바닥 그래픽을 통해 참가자들의 자연스러운 관심을 이끌었다.

The campaign drew participants’ attention through storytelling banners and ground graphics installed throughout the marathon course.

특히 체력이 소진되는 이른바 ‘마의 구간’에는 응원의 메시지와 함께 청렴 문구를 배치해, 지친 러너들이 정직과 공정의 가치를 다시 생각해보는 계기를 마련했다. 참가자들은 “힘든 순간에 청렴의 의미를 되새기게 하는 신선한 시도였다”고 호평했다.

Notably, encouraging integrity messages were placed along the most physically demanding sections of the course, prompting exhausted runners to reflect on the values of honesty and fairness. Many participants praised the initiative as “a refreshing way to rethink integrity during challenging moments.”

#김진태 강원특별자치도지사도 도청 마라톤 동호회원들과 함께 10km 전 코스를 완주하며, 현장에서 도민들과 ‘공정한 경쟁’의 의미를 공유했다.

Governor Kim Jin-tae of Gangwon State completed the full 10km course alongside members of the provincial office marathon club, sharing the meaning of “fair competition” with residents on site.

#정일섭 감사위원장은 “숨이 턱 끝까지 차오르는 고비에서도 정직하게 한 발을 내딛는 마라톤 정신이 곧 우리가 지향해야 할 청렴의 모습”이라며, “청렴은 한 번의 선언이 아니라 끝까지 지켜내야 할 도민과의 약속”이라고 강조했다.

Jeong Il-seop, Chair of the Audit Commission, emphasized, “The marathon spirit—taking an honest step forward even when out of breath—represents the very integrity we pursue. Integrity is not a one-time declaration but a promise to citizens that must be upheld to the very end.”

도는 이번 캠페인을 일회성 행사에 그치지 않고, 도정 전반의 청렴 실천 의지를 공유하는 계기로 삼아 향후 다양한 도민 참여 행사와 연계해 확산해 나갈 계획이다.

The provincial government stated that the campaign will not remain a one-time event but will serve as a stepping stone to strengthen integrity practices across provincial administration, expanding through various citizen-participation events in the future.
