동해시, 잠복결핵 치료관리율 67.5%→90.8% 향상

 ‘치료응원 3단계 프로젝트’ 본격 추진

강원특별자치도 동해시는 결핵환자 접촉자의 잠복결핵 치료완주율 향상을 위해 ‘잠복결핵 치료응원 3단계 프로젝트’를 본격 추진한다고 밝혔다.

Donghae City in Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province announced the full-scale launch of its “3-Stage Treatment Support Project” to improve the treatment completion rate among individuals with latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) who had contact with TB patients.

검진율 100% 달성…치료관리율 대폭 향상

100% Screening Rate Achieved… Significant Rise in Treatment Management

시에 따르면 2024년 결핵환자 접촉자 검진율은 100%를 달성했으나, 잠복결핵감염 치료관리율은 67.5%에 머무르는 한계가 있었다. 이에 2025년에는 적극적인 치료 독려, 복약관리 강화, 지속적인 상담과 모니터링을 집중 추진한 결과 치료관리율을 90.8%까지 끌어올리는 성과를 거두었다.

According to the city, while a 100% screening rate among TB patient contacts was achieved in 2024, the LTBI treatment management rate remained at 67.5%. In 2025, however, through proactive treatment encouragement, strengthened medication management, and continuous counseling and monitoring, the city successfully increased the rate to 90.8%.

잠복결핵 특성상 치료중단 위험 높아

 Higher Risk of Treatment Interruption Due to Nature of LTBI

잠복결핵감염은 증상과 전염성이 없어 치료 필요성에 대한 체감도가 낮고, 약 3개월간 꾸준한 복약이 필요해 치료 중단이 발생하기 쉬운 특성이 있다. 이에 따라 대상자의 자발적 참여와 체계적인 행정적 관리가 무엇보다 중요하다.

Latent tuberculosis infection shows no symptoms and is not contagious, leading to low awareness of the need for treatment. Moreover, since it requires consistent medication for approximately three months, there is a high risk of treatment interruption. Therefore, voluntary participation by patients and systematic administrative management are essential.

건강관리·복약관리·동기부여 통합 지원

Integrated Support: Health Management, Medication Management, and Motivation

동해시는 건강관리·복약관리·치료동기 부여를 통합한 3단계 프로젝트를 통해 치료 전·중·후 전 과정을 체계적으로 지원한다.

Through the integrated three-stage project—health management, medication management, and motivational support—the city provides systematic assistance before, during, and after treatment.

치료 전·중·후 혈액검사를 통한 건강상태 확인, 단계별 복약 상담 및 치료순응도 관리, 치료 참여 독려를 위한 단계별 응원선물 제공, 치료완료자 수료증 발급 및 사후관리까지 포함된다.

The program includes blood tests before, during, and after treatment to ensure patient safety; step-by-step medication counseling and adherence monitoring; motivational gifts to encourage participation; issuance of completion certificates; and post-treatment follow-up care.

#윤혜경 예방관리과장은 “잠복결핵 치료는 결핵 발병을 예방하는 가장 효과적인 방법으로, 무엇보다 치료완주가 중요하다”며 “대상자들이 안전하고 꾸준하게 치료를 이어갈 수 있도록 체계적인 관리와 응원을 지속적으로 강화하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Yoon Hye-kyung, Director of the Prevention Management Division, stated, “Treatment of latent tuberculosis is the most effective way to prevent active TB, and completing the full course is crucial. We will continue strengthening systematic management and supportive measures so that patients can safely and consistently complete their treatment.”
