동해시가족센터, 결혼이민자와 함께한 설 명절 전통 문화 체험

동해시가족센터는 지난 2월 6일 오전 10시부터 오후 1시까지 센터 내 결혼이민자를 대상으로 설 명절 전통문화 체험 프로그램을 운영했다.약 30여 명의 다양한 국적을 가진 참여자들이 모여 한국의 설 문화를 직접 배우고 체험하는 따뜻한 시간을 가졌다.
On February 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Donghae Family Center held a Lunar New Year cultural experience program for marriage immigrants.Around 30 participants from diverse countries gathered to learn and experience the traditions of Korea’s most important holiday in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

한복을 입고, 만두를 빚으며Wearing Hanbok, Making Mandu
참여자들은 고운 한복을 입고 만두 빚기 체험에 참여했다.설 명절 음식에 담긴 의미와 정성을 배우며, 함께 빚은 만두 속에는 서로의 웃음과 이야기가 담겼다.
The participants dressed in beautiful hanbok and joined a mandu (dumpling) making session.As they learned about the meaning and care behind traditional New Year dishes, their laughter and stories blended gently into every dumpling they shaped.

특히 이번 체험에 사용된 재료는 지역 업체 동호 김치(대표 김복자)와 한국생활개선회 동해시연합회의 후원으로 마련되어 지역사회와 함께하는 나눔의 의미를 더했다.
The ingredients were generously sponsored by Dongho Kimchi (CEO Kim Bok-ja) and the Donghae branch of the Korea Life Improvement Association, adding a meaningful layer of local solidarity and shared support.

윷놀이로 하나 되는 시간

Becoming One Through Yutnori

이어진 윷놀이 체험에서는 팀을 나눠 전통 놀이를 즐겼다.응원과 환호가 어우러진 공간에는 국적을 넘어선 웃음이 가득했다.
The event continued with Yutnori, a traditional Korean board game.Divided into teams, participants cheered for one another, filling the room with laughter that transcended nationalities.

한 참여자는 “한복을 입고 만두를 만들고 윷놀이까지 함께하며 한국의 설 문화를 즐겁게 배울 수 있었고, 상품까지 받아 더욱 기억에 남는다”고 전했다.
One participant shared,“Wearing hanbok, making mandu, and playing Yutnori together helped me truly enjoy and understand Korean Lunar New Year culture. Receiving a small prize made the experience even more memorable.”
문화는 배움이 아니라, 함께 나누는 경험Culture Is Not Just Learned — It Is Shared

#우미강 동해시가족센터장은 “앞으로도 결혼이민자들이 한국 전통문화를 직접 체험하며 문화적 이해를 높이고 지역사회에 안정적으로 적응할 수 있도록 다양한 프로그램을 지속 운영하겠다”고 밝혔다.
Director Woo Mi-gang of the Donghae Family Center stated,“We will continue to provide diverse programs so that marriage immigrants can directly experience Korean traditions, deepen their cultural understanding, and adapt stably to the local community.”

설날은 단지 명절이 아니라, 마음을 나누는 시간이다.그리고 그 나눔은 오늘, 동해의 작은 공간에서 조용히 피어났다.
Lunar New Year is not just a holiday — it is a time to share hearts.And on this day, that sharing quietly blossomed in a small but meaningful space in Donghae.
