춘천인재육성장학재단, 장학금 1억 6,000만 원 전달

(재)춘천인재육성장학재단(이사장 육동한)이 2025년 하반기 지역 중·고·대학생 249명에게 총 1억 6,209만 8,000원의 장학금을 지원했다.

재단에 따르면 이번 하반기 장학생은 중·고등학생과 대학생을 대상으로 선발됐으며, 중·고등학생에게는 1인당 50만 원, 대학생에게는 1인당 최대 100만 원의 장학금이 지급됐다. 장학생은 △애향 △성적우수 △특기 △주소 이전 △원격대학 △성적향상 등 다양한 기준을 통해 선발됐으며, 학업 성취도뿐 아니라 지역 기여도와 생활 여건까지 폭넓게 고려한 것이 특징이다.

이와 관련해 재단은 30일 춘천시청 접견실에서 ‘2025년 하반기 장학증서 수여식’을 열고 장학생들에게 장학증서를 전달했다.

특히 이번 수여식은 재단이 ‘춘천인재육성장학재단’ 명칭으로 새롭게 출범한 이후 진행된 첫 장학사업이라는 점에서 의미를 더했다. 재단은 앞으로 단순한 장학금 지원을 넘어, 진로 연계와 성장 지원을 포함한 체계적인 지역 인재 육성 플랫폼으로 기능을 확대해 나갈 계획이다.

육동한 이사장은 “이번 장학금이 학생들의 꿈을 키우는 디딤돌이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로는 장학을 넘어 지역사회가 함께 인재를 키우는 구조를 만들어가겠다”고 말했다.

The Chuncheon Talent Development Scholarship Foundation (Chairperson: Yook Dong-han) has awarded a total of KRW 162.098 million in scholarships to 249 local middle school, high school, and university students for the second half of 2025.

According to the foundation, selected middle and high school students each received KRW 500,000, while university students received up to KRW 1 million per person. Recipients were chosen across diverse categories, including community dedication, academic excellence, special talents, relocation to Chuncheon, distance learning programs, and academic improvement. The selection process emphasized not only academic performance but also regional contribution and individual living circumstances.

On December 30, the foundation held the 2025 Second-Half Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony at Chuncheon City Hall, where scholarship certificates were formally presented to the recipients.

This ceremony was particularly significant as it marked the first scholarship initiative under the newly launched name, “Chuncheon Talent Development Scholarship Foundation.” Moving forward, the foundation plans to expand its role beyond financial support to become a comprehensive talent development platform, integrating career guidance and long-term growth support.

Chairperson Yook Dong-han stated,

“I hope these scholarships serve as stepping stones for students to pursue their dreams. Beyond scholarships, we will work to build a sustainable system in which the entire community nurtures and supports future talent.”
