영서고등학교(교장 강철구)는 식품산업과 3학년 학생 2명이 미국 조지아주 애틀란타에 위치한 한식당 ‘CowWow Korean BBQ’에 최종 취업이 확정되는 성과를 거두었다고 17일 밝혔다.

Youngseo High School (Principal Kang Cheol-gu) announced on the 17th that two senior students from its Food Industry Department have secured full-time employment at “CowWow Korean BBQ”, a Korean restaurant based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

이번 해외취업은 CowWow Korean BBQ 정재우 대표가 학교를 직접 방문해 현장 면접을 진행하고, 해외취업 연계 파트너 기업인 퓨처커넥트㈜(대표 강길모)와 함께 종합 평가를 거쳐 채용을 확정한 사례다. 이는 특성화고 학생들의 실무 역량과 글로벌 취업 경쟁력을 다시 한번 입증한 성과로 평가된다.

This overseas employment was finalized after CEO Jae-woo Jung of CowWow Korean BBQ personally visited the school to conduct on-site interviews, followed by a comprehensive evaluation process in cooperation with Future Connect Co., Ltd. (CEO Gil-mo Kang), an overseas employment partner company. The case demonstrates the strong practical skills and global employability of vocational high school students.

#정재우 대표는 “영서고 학생들은 기본적인 직무 태도와 성실함은 물론, 현장 적응력과 성장 가능성이 매우 뛰어났다”며 “한국 특성화고 교육이 해외 외식 산업 현장에서도 충분한 경쟁력을 갖추고 있음을 확인했다”고 말했다.

CEO Jung commented, “The students from Youngseo High School showed excellent work ethics, sincerity, adaptability, and strong growth potential. This experience confirmed that Korea’s vocational high school education is highly competitive even in overseas food service industries.”

#강길모 대표는 “학교와 기업이 긴밀히 협력해 준비한 결과가 의미 있는 성과로 이어졌다”며 “앞으로도 해외 취업과 연계한 지속적인 협력 관계를 이어가고 싶다”고 밝혔다.

CEO Kang added, “This success is the result of close cooperation between the school and industry. We look forward to continuing our partnership to expand overseas employment opportunities.”
