춘천 지하도상가서 크리스마스 축제 ‘상상 한 겨울’

춘천시(시장 육동한)가 오는 20일부터 21일까지 이틀간, 춘천 지하도상가 중앙광장 일대에서 조운소양동 도시재생사업의 일환으로 ‘2025 상상 한 겨울’ 크리스마스 축제를 개최한다.

이번 축제는 연말을 맞아 시민 누구나 참여할 수 있는 공연과 체험 프로그램을 통해 지하도상가에 따뜻한 겨울 감성과 활력을 더하기 위해 마련됐다.

행사 기간 중앙광장에서는 다양한 장르의 공연이 펼쳐진다. 뮤지컬 갈라 퍼포먼스를 시작으로 마술쇼, 라이브 밴드, 트로트 메들리, K-POP 댄스 공연 등이 이어지는 ‘상상 스테이지’가 축제 분위기를 한층 끌어올릴 예정이다.

시민 참여형 체험 프로그램도 풍성하게 운영된다. 가족 단위 방문객을 대상으로 크리스마스 리스, 트리 도어벨, 캔들 만들기 등을 직접 체험할 수 있는 ‘상상 아뜰리에’ 부스가 마련돼 연말의 즐거움을 더한다.

이와 함께 조운소양동 도시재생사업의 추진 과정과 성과를 한눈에 살펴볼 수 있는 전시 ‘상상 아카이빙’도 열린다. 2025년 한 해 동안 축적된 도시재생 이야기를 정리해 사업의 의미와 변화의 흐름을 시민들과 공유하는 공간으로 구성된다.

중앙광장에는 연말 감성을 담은 포토존도 조성된다. 해당 포토존은 축제 종료 이후에도 지속 운영될 예정으로, 지하도상가를 찾는 시민들에게 겨울의 추억을 선사할 것으로 기대된다.

춘천시 관계자는 “이번 축제는 도시재생 공간을 시민 일상 속 문화공간으로 확장하는 계기”라며 “지하도상가가 연말에 다시 찾고 싶은 장소로 기억되길 바란다”고 말했다.

“Imagined Archiving” exhibition highlights urban regeneration achievements

Chuncheon City (Mayor Yook Dong-han) will host the “2025 Imagined Winter” Christmas Festival from December 20 to 21 at the central plaza of the Chuncheon Underground Shopping Arcade, as part of the Joun–Soyang-dong Urban Regeneration Project.

The festival aims to bring a warm and festive winter atmosphere to the underground arcade through a wide range of performances and interactive programs open to citizens of all ages.

Throughout the event, the central plaza will feature the “Imagined Stage,” showcasing diverse performances including musical gala shows, magic performances, live band music, trot medleys, and K-pop dance stages, creating a lively and dynamic year-end celebration.

Hands-on programs designed for active citizen participation will also be available. The “Imagined Atelier” experience booths will offer activities such as Christmas wreath making, tree doorbell crafting, and candle making, providing families and visitors with memorable seasonal experiences.

In addition, the exhibition “Imagined Archiving” will be held to present the progress and achievements of the Joun–Soyang-dong Urban Regeneration Project. The exhibition will reflect on the stories and milestones accumulated throughout 2025, offering visitors an opportunity to understand the significance and impact of the regeneration initiative.

A Christmas-themed photo zone will also be installed at the central plaza. The photo zone is planned to remain open even after the festival, allowing visitors to capture lasting winter memories while visiting the underground arcade.

A city official stated, “This festival serves as an opportunity to transform an urban regeneration space into a cultural venue embedded in citizens’ daily lives,” adding, “We hope the underground shopping arcade will be remembered as a place people want to revisit during the year-end season.”
