2025년 강원 케이블카 정책공유 워크숍 개최

 - 도(道), 한국교통안전공단, 14개 시군 공무원 등 40여 명 참석 -

강원특별자치도는 12월 5일(금) 원주시 강원특별자치도경제진흥원에서 「2025년 강원 케이블카 정책공유 워크숍」을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province announced that it held the “2025 Gangwon Cable Car Policy Sharing Workshop” on December 5 (Fri) at the Gangwon Economic Promotion Agency in Wonju.

이번 워크숍은 도내 케이블카·모노레일 등 궤도시설을 운영하거나 신규 설치 예정인 시군 공무원을 대상으로, 지역 관광자원과의 연계 운영 전략을 마련하고 궤도시설 안전관리 제도 강화를 모색하기 위해 마련되었다.

The workshop was organized for municipal officials who operate or plan to introduce cable cars and monorails, with the aim of developing strategies to link these facilities with local tourism resources and to strengthen safety management systems.

워크숍에서 국립 강릉원주대학교 관광경영학과 강상국 교수는 국내·외 케이블카의 관광 연계 모델과 다양한 현장사례를 소개했다.

At the workshop, Professor Kang Sang-guk of Gangneung-Wonju National University’s Tourism Management Department presented domestic and international case studies on tourism-linked cable car models.

한국교통안전공단 김성하 차장은 사고 및 운행장애 통계와 주요 원인을 분석하고, 이에 따른 예방 대책을 중점적으로 설명했다.

Deputy Director Kim Seong-ha of the Korea Transportation Safety Authority analyzed accident and operation-disruption statistics, explaining major causes and key preventive measures.

또한 신규 케이블카를 추진 중인 시군을 대상으로 케이블카 건설 절차와 인허가 시 유의해야 할 사항을 안내했으며, 최근 도에서 추진 중인 궤도시설 안전관리 강화 계획도 공유하는 자리가 마련됐다.

The workshop also provided guidance on construction procedures and licensing considerations for municipalities planning new cable car projects, along with an update on the province’s ongoing initiatives to strengthen safety management for track-based facilities.

#김권종 강원특별자치도 관광국장은 “이번 워크숍이 궤도·삭도시설을 운영하는 시군의 역량을 강화하고, 케이블카와 지역관광 간의 연계 효과를 이해하는 계기가 될 것”이라고 말했다.

Kim Kwon-jong, Director of Tourism for the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, stated, “This workshop will help strengthen the capacity of municipalities operating rail and ropeway facilities, while deepening understanding of how cable cars can be effectively linked with local tourism.”

이어 그는 “국내에서 가장 많은 궤도시설을 보유한 강원도는 앞으로도 운영기관·전문가·유관기관 간 협력체계를 강화해, 안전하고 편리한 관광 인프라를 지속적으로 조성·관리해 나가겠다”고 덧붙였다.

He added, “As the province with the largest number of track-based facilities in Korea, Gangwon will continue to reinforce cooperation among operators, experts, and relevant institutions to build and maintain safe and convenient tourism infrastructure.”
